vermillion tears.

TW: mental health/ self harm!!!

what was once clean and pretty,
became a dirty canvas,
vermillion tears escaped the linen.

and crying?,
it's like a nosebleed from the heart,
but for some strange reason,
no matter how much pressure you apply,
the bleeding won't stop.

you knew it wasn't getting any better,
when you started to do everything sitting down,
your nails clenched so tight into your fists,
vermillion tears trapped in your fingernails,
embedded so deep,
like every single secret you ever kept,
from every single mistake you ever made.

interpretation: this poem is basically for all the people who don't talk about their problems and deal with them in a self destructive way which i feel like a lot of people could relate to and understand. If you can relate to this i hope things do get better for you and feel free to drop me a message if you want to talk about anything<3
