Chapter 26 - Some people deserve to die

You stare at the man next to you.

It was bad enough that you had to travel in a suit because of the paparazzi, but now an American envoy is here?

"Mr. White. It's already hard enough with the paparazzi, why are you here?"

"The files are here," He hands you the papers, and you already know all of it.

"There has to be another reason."

"How did you know the man?"

"The suspect?"

"Yes," He stares at you.

"OnCE UPON A TIME-"

"You're mocking me."

"OH I DIDN'T KNOW!" you pretend to gasp. "There are people called rulers, and there are people called monarchs. Think of a monarch as the opposite of a ruler. They are what we call 'monsters'. Their power could be even more powerful than a national rank since they have no limit with their body."

You stare out the plane window.

"Rulers... can be more powerful than Monarchs... and Monarchs could be more powerful than rulers." You mumble. "Can I have a glass of sparkling juice? Thanks. Anyway, in the end it just matters whether or not Jinwoo reaches their level."

You thank the flight attendant and drink the juice. "Weren't you supposed to end up with Jinwoo?"

"We had a change of plans last minute,"

"Must've been a pain in the ass." You snicker.

"I'd love to agree but I'd get fired."

"We hate it here," You laugh. "Speaking of which. Has Jinwoo gotten to America yet?"

"He's currently flying from Japan right now."

"It's nice to have such a powerful S-rank," You smile.

The man smiles.

You get off the plane, and immediately start throwing up.

"UGH PLANE RIDES SUCK ASS," You cry.

"That's only because you refuse to eat plane food."

"STOP POINTING OUT THE OBVIOUS!"

You get past security, and they drive you to the building in a black SUV.

Adam White was kind enough to let you stop at Starbucks for a sandwich and a cup of coffee.

I wonder if I can get Jinwoo in a suit on a photo haha

You fix up your suit, and you get off the car to face the paparazzi again.

"Hunter Y/n! Is it true that you and Hunter Sung Jinwoo are dating?!"

"Hunter Y/n give us a smile!"

"Hunter Y/n look over here!"

Sighing, you smile at the paparazzi for a second. Then you walk into the building.

There are reporters in there.

"Hunter Y/n! Could you spare us a moment?"

You sigh internally.

"S-"

You hear familiar footsteps.

"Y/n, that's where you were," Jinwoo smiles softly at you. "How was the flight?"

"I think I lost a stomach from that," You sigh. "How did you know I was coming?"

"You're the one who told me."
