Chapter 31 - Daggers

The death of the chairman comes quickly.

The news spreads, the funeral is held, and you wipe your tears.

You don't have time to cry for too long.

With the death of the chairman, it would be less than a month that a disaster is going to fall.

Jinwoo holds a press conference. 

The end of you is near.

But you still had some time.

Or more like I don't want to face reality <3

You stretch on the sofa as you type away on your computer.

The door opens, and you hear your name called.

"Y/n."

"Oh Thomas!" You kick your legs off the table, and you save your progress. "Did you need something? Is there a reason you're in Korea right now?"

"I brought you a gift," He smiles. "Shall we go for dinner-?"

Jinwoo pops up next to you in a second.

"Can-"

"You can join." You and Thomas chime in at the same time.

Jinwoo's startled.

"The gift's going to be handed to you anyway," You shrug. "Oh wait sorry you are?"

"Lennart Niermann, Hunter Y/n."

"For protection?"

"Yes."

You stare at Haein. "Bestie can you get the paperwork to him? I'll come back to check after dinner."

"Sure," Haein smiles.

"I'll do the checking," Jinwoo sighs. "You go to bed after dinner. You pulled an all nighter yesterday."

You pout. "Fine."

The two of you make it to the restaurant, and you bite down on the steak. 

Holy shit this is good-

"Can you feel it? The power of this item?"

"Thomas. Are you handing Kamish to me?"

"A gift of gratitude for not killing anyone else in the city because of Hwang Dongsoo. Your aura from that time still triggers me." Thomas smiles as he opens the case.

Jinwoo stares at the daggers.

"All yours now darling," You grin. "I have something more powerful."

The two stare at you.

"It's a puppet." You smile. "I'll summon him so that he's as big as a doll."

"Kamish." The dragon appears, and he rests on your shoulder. "See? He's so tiny and cute!!"

Jinwoo stares at the dragon on your shoulder. "I... that's Kamish?"

"He speaks too," You grin. "Say Hi Kami~"

"Hello" The two men blink, and you beam. "Ok return Kamish"

Magical energy rumbles and the three of you stare out the window at the sky.

"... Jinwoo grab the daggers. We're going to be working overtime today." You sigh. "Can I get a cup of iced coffee? Oat milk. I don't want my stomach dying on me."

Thomas hands you the coffee and you grin.
