We are waiting in this hallway. Waiting to go into our fear landscapes. Whatever that is.
Zeke is on my left holding my hand. Tobias just went in with Amar.
A few minutes later Amar calls my name.
I follow him inside
"Where's Tobias?" I ask
"Oh you mean Four?" He asks
"Four?" I say
"He has four fears. Thus Four" He says
I sit in the chair and Amar injects me with a serum.
I close my eyes and reopen them to see a field.
All the sudden crows start attacking me left and right.
I fall to the ground screaming for help.
Then I relax and close my eyes.
I open them again and I'm in a glass tank.
I bang on the wall but it doesn't budge.
I rest my hand on the glass and it starts to crack right when the water fills the tank all the way.
I tap it again and again. Then it breaks.
I open my eyes to see I'm on top of a rock. Then a huge wave crashes on me and I fall on the rock. Then another and another. I stand up and jump off the rock landing in a big mass of water.
I open my eyes to see myself in abnegation. Marcus comes out of the shadows with his whip. His eyes are black pits and his mouth is open with large teeth and a gross looking tounge.
He hits me with the whip and I cower but them pull my strength and hit him.
I open my eyes and see I'm still in abnegation but I'm in my room. I look out the window to see men without faces running towards the window.
They hit it repeatedly. I open the closet and shut it. I hear the window smash open and I feel a gun on the floor. I open the closet door and shoot the men.
I open my eyes and see that I'm back in the chair.
(I decided no intamacy fear. So six fears but I replaced the killing her family with Marcus whipping her)
Amar looks at me with sympathy but not pity.
"So it's true. Marcus did beat you two" He says
"Yeah" I say
"Four had the same fear. But I can't tell you the others" He says
"Fear of heights, confinement, and shooting me" I say
"Uh yeah those are it" He says with amazement
"What was my time?" I ask
"4 and a half minutes. Your brother got 3 and a half" He says
"Oh" I say
"What were your test results?" He asks
"Abnegation" I say
"I don't think so. I think you're lying to me" He says
"W-why would I lie to you?" I ask
"I'm gonna ask you one more time" He says
"Abnegation" I say
He sighs. "You're divergent" He says
"What's divergent?" I ask
"Don't play dumb with me" He says
"Alright fine I am" I say
"It's okay. I am too" He says
