I wake up the next morning with my back very sore.
I get dressed and see my dad and Tobias already eating.
"Nice of you to join us Beatrice" Marcus says
I mentally roll my eyes because if I roll my eyes in front of him he will hit me. It's happened before.
"I'm sure you both know the right choice to make so I won't say anything about the ceremony" Marcus says
"Yes we do know the right choice" Tobias says
I look at him and he slightly nods like confirming what he just said to me.
"We should probably get going" I say
We leave the house and I say goodbye to the house in my head. I won't miss abnegation. I know I'm making the right choice today.
We get on the bus and of course Marcus gets to sit and we have to stand. How selfless I think.
~~Time lapse to ceremony ~ ~
"Zeke Pedrad " I see a very hot dauntless born go to the bowls and he chooses dauntless.(I decided to have Zeke,Eric, Shauna,and Christina in their initiaton instead. But the others will choose next year)
A few minutes later another dauntless born goes up. Her name is Shauna. She chooses dauntless.
Then an erudite boy goes up. He chooses dauntless. I think his name was Eric.
Then a candor named Christina chooses dauntless.
A few names later I hear "Tobias Eaton"
He walks to the bowls and cuts his palm and the blood drips on dauntless.
The dauntless cheer but I see my dad with his jaw clenched and his eyes staring daggers at Tobias.
"Beatrice Eaton" I walk down and do the same as Tobias. I look back at my father and see him surprised not mad. Oookay.
I sit next to Tobias and I look at him. We smile at eachother. I grab his hand and then the ceremony is finished ten minutes later.
We stand and the dauntless born run out of the room and thunder down the steps whooping and yelling. I look at Tobias again and see him smiling.
We burst outside and we run to the train tracks. We climb up the pillars and wait for the train. I hear it coming and they all start to run. I run too and they start hopping on the train. I jump on and see Tobias is on too.
I see him staring at Shauna and her staring back at him. I see them smile at eachother and then blush.
I walk over to Zeke and say hi
"What's up" He says
"I think my brother and Shauna have a crush on each other" I say and he looks at both of them and smirks.
"Yeah my crush is on this train. I barely know her but I saw her at school all the time" He says
"Oh yeah who is it" I ask
"You" He says
