Did I just hear him right?
"Why would you want me? I'm ugly,flat chested" I ask
"You are not ugly you are absolutely gorgeous. If you weren't from abnegation all the boys from school would be all over you. You are not flat chested either" He says
I blush and look away. He grabs my chin and moves my head to look at him. We look into each other's eyes and we are about to kiss when we here.
"Get ready to jump" someone says
"Well that's a mood killer" Zeke says
I laugh and we go over to the door. I look over at my brother who is currently talking with Shauna. I smile and grab Zeke's hand. We jump once we see the roof and land right on our feet.
I look back at the train and see Tobias and Shauna about to jump. They leap out and land on their feet as well.
"Listen up! I'm Max. One of your leaders. If you want to enter dauntless this is the entrance in." Max says
"Now someone's got to go first. Who's it gonna be?" He says
"Me" Zeke and I say at the same time
We smile at eachother decide to jump together.
We land in a net. I see two hands off to the side. We each grab one. What's your name the guy asks me.
"Uh Tris" I say
"First jumpers Tris and Zeke! Welcome to Dauntless" He says
We walk over to a wall to wait for the other initiates.
"Who are they?"
"Amar is the transfers trainor. Lauren is the Dauntless born trainor" He says
"Oh" is all I say
Tobias and Shauna come next. Then The candor Christina. The erudite Eric. Then the dauntless born and the rest of the transfers.
"My name is Amar this is Lauren. We are your trainor 's for the next few weeks. There will be two stages of training. The first is physical. Push you bodies to the breaking point. The second is mental again breaking point. Training will start at 8 to 6. Lunch and one break in between. After 6 you may do whatever you like. Lights out at 11. Dauntless born go with Lauren. Transfers you're with me" Amar says
I kiss Zeke on the cheek and Tobias and I walk side by side with the other transfers behind us.
Amar shows us the pit, training room, and then takes us to our dorms.
There is only 6 of us and 12 dauntless born. But there is 10 beds in here.
"Girls or boys?" A candor asks
"Both. Showers and toilets also. But no sharing beds" Amar says
"Nice" someone says
"You should feel right at home candor. Leaving everything out in the open" He says. With that he walks out.
"What a jerk" Christina says
I find a bed in the corner. Christina comes up to me.
"Hey do you mind if I have this bunk?" She asks
"No go ahead." I say
Tobias is actually in the corner of the room but I got the bed next to him.
"You know what we should do? Get tattoos" Christina says
"That sounds fun. You wanna get a tattoo Tobias?" I ask
"Can we invite Shauna?" He asks
"Oooo someone's got a crush" I say
"Shut up. It's not like you don't like Zeke" He says back
"Fine I do like him. Yeah sure we can invite her but Zeke is coming also" I say
"Okay. Let's go" He says
The three of us walk over to the dauntless born dorms. We pick up Zeke and Shauna. Then we go to the tattoo parlor.
