Tris fell asleep, but I still can't help but feel awful for what I did. She says it's okay and not my fault. But if I just paid attention to the harnesses then she wouldn't be here right now.
I sigh and look at Tris. She looks so beautiful and peaceful when she's sleeping.
I kiss her forehead and she smiles in her sleep and wraps her arm tighter around me.
I smile and put my head on hers. I eventually fall asleep thinking of how much I love her.
"Awwwwwe. That's so cute" someone says
I open my eyes to see Mar,Shauna,Tobias,and Uriah standing in front of the bed.
"Hey" I say
"Hey" they say back
"Is she feeling any better" Uriah asks
"Last night she sounded a little stronger, but she's still a little weak" I say
She stirs and opens her eyes.
"Hey" she says weakly
"How are you?" Tobias asks
"Like I fell and hit the ground hard" she says
We laugh and I kiss the side of her head.
"Oooo Zeke's getting comfy with Tris I see" Uriah says
I roll my eyes and see her blushing.
"I see you still haven't gotten with Mar yet" I say back
He blushes and looks at the floor.
"Me and Shauna are going out now" Tobias says
"Congrats" we say
The doctor comes in and asks Tris if she needs a morphine drip.
She says sure.
"Woah we all need a morphine drip" she says
"Do you see the rainbows too?" She asks
We laugh. She's funny when she's a little buzzed.
"No we don't" Shauna says laughing a little
"I wonder why they call it morphine. It's such a funny word. Morphine. Morphine. Morphine" she says then giggles
"Where'd my toes go?" She asks
Her toes are tucked under the blanket.
"They're under the blanket silly" I say
"Oh yeah" she says
About a half hour later they all leave. I decided to go home and take a shower then head back to the infirmary.
I really like Tris. Wait no. I think I love her.
She's so perfect. She's absolutely gorgeous but doesn't know it. I was serious when I said of she wasn't a stiff then she would've had the guys all over her. But since she was from abnegation no one wanted to date her.
Well now she's dauntless and hopefully if I ask her out she'll say yes.
But only time will tell. I don't want to ask her while she's on morphine though. Sure it's funny, but I want a serious answer from her.
