I woke up this morning and I saw Kylie next to me.
We have fallen asleep.

I looked at my phone.
Damn it.

Me: Kylie wake up!

Kylie: What?

Me: It's 10:00! We've missed the first periods!

Kylie: Let's stay home please. I'm exhausted.

Me: No, wake up. It's the first week.

Kylie finally stood up and we started getting dressed.
Marcus called me last night many times but I didn't pick it up cuz I have fallen asleep.
He called me this morning too about 7:00 a.m. but I was sleeping again.

I don't have much time to explain him what happened.
So I'll let him know later after school.

I hope he's okay and he's not that worried.

We went to school as fast as possible and then everyone was surprised when we showed up together.

Jackson was kind of confused too.

Jackson: So you guys are okay now?

Me: Yeah actually.

He smiled.

Jackson: That's really good. I'm happy for both of you.

Kylie: Yeah Jackson. Thanks.

Jackson: See you.

Jackson left and now me and Kylie were waiting for the school bell to ring.

Me: So... Jackson.

Kylie: He didn't even notice me. He was looking at you all the time.

Me: I don't think he likes me anymore. Look, no matter if he likes me or not, you should give him a chance. Why don't you ask him to hang out sometime?

Kylie: We're not that close.

Me: Alright. Do whatever you want. I don't want to affect you.

Kylie: Don't worry Olivia. It's fine. I don't want to have a boyfriend.

Me: You don't want to have a boyfriend or are you just giving up on him?

Kylie: That's too much. We're just friends. And clearly he's not interested in me. I want you to stop trying, Olivia.

Me: Sorry. You are right.

Kylie: Let's talk about you again.

Me: Damn.

Kylie: I know your life is kind of complicated. And also I know you're crazy for Marcus. But you can't keep on lying to him.

Me: I've told you, it's not that easy.

Kylie: It is, actually. Go meet him after school or I don't know tonight and tell him everything. Then, it will be his decision if he wants to wait for you or move on in his life.

Me: Do you really believe he's going to wait for two damn years till I finish school?

Kylie: Ask him to. I know it's not that possible but maybe he truly loves you. he is going to wait until you grow up a little bit more and finish school. Then, when you'll be mature enough, you two can live together.

Me: I hope it was like that.

Kylie: No matter what he decides, you'll always know you have a best friend who is actually waiting for you.

I smiled.

Me: Thank you.

School bell rang.

Kylie: Everything is going to be fine, trust me.

But nothing was going to be fine.

I knew.

I knew I was about to get hurt.
Marcus really loves me but we can't have a long-distance relationship.

Once he told me he doesn't believe in this kind of relationships.

And who does actually?

Every long-distance relationship starts good and ends really bad.

I prefer to get hurt now than 3 months later.

He's not going to wait and even if he says so, he won't manage to.

He's just a young boy who wants love. I won't be able to give him the affection he wants from far away.

I'm going to tell him everything tonight.

I'm going to end this thing here.

I'm going to break up with him...
