Sokovia Accords

A year had passed since Sokovia was destroyed. Each day Y/N had spent in the new Avengers Campus, helping to train the new recruits with Steve and Natasha. Thor had left Earth 9 months ago and Y/N hadn't seen him since. Bruce never showed up either. It scared Natasha, to know he was out there, alone, but she never showed her pain. Y/N tried to talk to her about him, she helped her try to find him. But eventually Natasha stopped trying. Wherever he was, he didn't want to be found. Steve made Y/N feel happy again, their relationship was strong, and they spent most nights together. Each night in each other's arms was however unfortunately followed by Steve getting everyone up to train at the crack of dawn. Something Y/N hated about him, considering she was NOT a morning person. In the year that had passed, Y/N also found herself growing closer to Wanda. Now they laughed with each other thinking about their fights. They had plenty of new ones which were much more co-ordinated and skilful since Steve always paired them together in training. But Wanda was much stronger than Y/N. The only advantage she had was her invincibility, Wanda's powers were spectacular. Not to be challenged. She went easy on Y/N most times. Y/N lay in bed, it was a Sunday, and to her surprise it was 10am and she was still in bed. And so was Steve, he was awake however, of course, but instead of his usual routine of shaking her awake gently before yanking her out and into the gym, he was stroking her back and hair with his fingers.

"Why am I still asleep?" she asked.

"I've got to head to Nigeria today with some of the team, we've done enough training so I thought i'd let everyone have some rest before the flight."

"I didn't know you were going to Nigeria today? How come I'm not on the response team?"

"Come on love, you know why."

"I don't think my public opinion is that bad anymore? What's the point in having me fight in the big ones and not the smaller missions?"

"Okay, I'll just be honest. Senator Ross said, that the less chanced we give you to mess up, the better."

"Sorry what?"

"If we put you on every mission possible, and you mess up? then all your progress with public opinions will go down the drain."

"Okay, but what about my progress with guilt? How am I supposed to turn my life around with Good deeds if you don't let me?"

"I'm sorry, Boss's orders."

"Okay, Steve. Nice to know you choose the boss over me."

"Oh come on Y/N, don't be like this. I've been given orders, you know I have to follow them."

"You don't, you don't have to be 100% good all of the time. You're too perfect, I'm your girlfriend and I want to help and you won't let me."

"That's right Y/N. I won't let you."

She stared at him in shock, anger and rage and despair turned her face a bright red and flushed her body with heat. She couldn't stand to look at him anymore, always thinking he knew what was best for her. He didn't.
She stood up abruptly and broke eye contact with him before storming towards the door. Steve tried to ask her what she was doing but she ignored him, deafening his question with the slam of his door. She journeyed just a little further down the hall until she reached the door to her room she so rarely ever spent time in. The walls were bare and a cold grey colour which resembled more of a blue. The bed was perfectly made and the only sign of life was the messy desk where she often wrote down her thoughts in a diary. The perfectly made bed sunk around her body upon her arrival as she sat pissed with her face in her pillow. Like a teenager, she screamed into it. But it didn't help her to release her rage and for one split second, after the embarrassment of the scream finally hit her, she wondered if she had been too dramatic. After thinking about the question, she decided she hadn't. She just wanted to do what she thought was right, always. She weren't like Steve, she wasn't a sucker for the rules. She believed you could still be a hero whilst breaking them. She hoped one day he'd think so too, and that she could join him on a non avengers level threat mission, just one time.
