Nari's POV
Once we're loaded into the SUV again we take another half hour's drive, I'm still like a curious cat as I watch all the buildings and people we pass. The scenery morphs into some type of park and I see banners for Hampyeong Butterfly Festival. I nearly squeal in delight but stay silent and just squeeze Hobi's hand.
Once parked we both don our face masks and exit the vehicle; the bodyguards have changed into street clothes and also wear masks so they don't stand out at all. "Here I almost forgot," Hobi says as he pulls out two lens cases. He unfolds a pair of pink tinted aviator sunglasses and asks me to put them on, I do and I love the way everything becomes slightly rose tinted. He puts on a blue tinted pair and after our final adjustments he tells the bodyguards we're ready. One stays in front of us and one behind, but Hobi and I are covered well and no one seems to think we're anything more than another couple. We do get a few odd looks because we're holding hands but otherwise things are normal.
The park is full to bursting with the mesmorizing colors that only nature can provide. We stroll through the endless fields of flowers and I feel like I'm in paradise. Though I would never admit it to anyone, I have a weakness for all things soft and beautiful. I love flowers, almost all varieties; but I always thought that telling someone I did was like revealing a weakness so I've always admired them in silence. I break away from Hobi as I rush to a patch of pale pink and lavender flowers and crouch down to watch the butterflies dancing on the petals.
I look back at Hobi and see that he is taking a picture or video of me so I smile and wave at him and I see him smiling back behind his phone. After walking through the Canola fields for a little while, both of us are hungry. We find that as this is a park dedicated to promoting ecology that there are several places selling local beef skewers. They are delicious and we purchase several and roam around the main square.
We stop and watch a group of young women perform traditional Korean dances while dressed in their brightly colored hanboks. I study his face as he watches the dancers; Hoseok might be most fond of street dancing but I think he has a love for all types. He is honestly the most fascinating person I've ever met in my life….and soon I'll have to leave him, I wish I didn't. He catches me staring at him and flashes his dazzling smile at me.
Since we've finished our food Hobi pulls me along to a different area. His strides are long and I have to walk quickly to keep up with him, but I don't mind as long as he never lets me go. We come to a large enclosed field that is separated into sections. Curious once again I enter and Hobi follows me, but looks a little wary. Suddenly a little piglet trots towards me and I bend down to run my hands over its soft ears and back. Many people have the wrong opinion of pigs, but I know differently. They are sweet, sensitive, intelligent creatures who love attention and frolicking.
Hobi looks nervous as three more piglets come our way, two of which stop and sniff at his shoes and pant legs. "It's ok Hobi, they're babies, they're just as scared of you as you are of them." Slowly he lowers himself but he doesn't touch them, probably because he hates dirt and pigs keep themselves dusty to remain cool, but he looks more at ease. After playing with the piglets we move onto the next section which is strewn with hay. I look around for any expected company and finally spot a cluster of little grey rabbits.
My love for rabbits is immeasurable, and even though I'm bouncing with joy on the inside I don't want to frighten them. I calmly and slowly fetch a few lettuce leaves from a bucket hanging from a nail, then I settle myself down in the straw and wait for them. Sitting very still with the lettuce held gently in my hands I watch as one of the larger bunnies cautiously approaches me. After it decides that I pose no threat the others join; I don't reach out to touch them. I can see that these rabbits are not pets and therefore their prey instincts are high and they would scatter if disturbed. Instead I just watch them, and feel their soft little noses as they nibble the leaves down to my fingertips.
