WHEN KING ENTERED the cafe and sat down in his usual seat, that was the signal for them to continue with their routine of slipping drugs into the man's drink. they paid close attention to him from afar, seeing that king was clearly exhausted.
they had another trick they could use in order to distract king. however, he saw the man put his head down instead of reading his book, not paying attention to his surroundings. they took that as their cue to move quickly, standing up from their seat and walking past king's table on purpose, successfully spiking his drink like it was another day.
unbeknownst to them though, king's eyes watched the person's figure slip out from the cafe. he suddenly recognized the side profile of his perpetrator within the reflection in the mini hand held mirror that was hidden in his sleeve. when he saw that the reflection was out from the cafe, king sat up in his seat, staring at his drink with unamused eyes. so that's the rat that's been drugging me.

CLICK. STEP. STEP. CLICK. that's the faintest of noises that could slice the air within the very back doors of the auditorium. king stood his guard, making sure the exits of the theatre club area were completely locked. he was determined to get his revenge.
after gauging the identity of the person who's been slipping him a major amount of drugs without his knowledge, he recognized the person as a teacher that he spotted on the first day of kingship schooling. in the middle of the night, he ended up having to go through a lot of files and IDs before coming across the correct face. the person drugging him ended up being the theatre club director. an *intendant of some opera houses within the kingdom and this theatre area as it used to be an opera house before a school was connected to it.
