"Now... we just need to steal a boat." Mirella said, and my stomach dropped. "What do you mean "steal a boat," Mirella?" I asked, and Nita looked just as shocked. "It's pretty self explainatory." She said. "Did you miss the guards with machine guns?!" Nita questioned. "Details." Mirella stayed. "You're loco." I said. "Says the girl who befriended a zannie." The pink girl said.

"Do you know how far Brazil is? Can we swim?" Nita wondered, and I shook my head. "Swimming.... it would take us days." Mirella said. "Not to mention the snakes lurking in the water." I said, shuddering. "What about the jungle?" Nita asked, and Mirella just looked unimpressed "There are spiders there that eat birds. Think about that." Mirella said, and I began to doubt myself. "Between spiders and snakes, I choose neither. Boat it is." I said, glancing at the pier.

"We'd need a distraction." Nita said. "Any ideas?" Mirella asked, and I looked at the market. "One." I said, stomach churning, "Pick one of the boats closer to us Mirella. Nita, I might need your help." I said. "Aye aye captain." Mirella mocked, and I gave her my best scary look, to which her attitude shifted to nervous for a moment.

"Phoenix feathers here!" A salesman called, and someone was complaining about there being another stall. "Ah, but these belong to the blue-tailed pheonix. Much more rare." He said, and I scoffed, they where obviously counterfeit.

"Go to the other side. Prepare to make the stalls tarp collapse." I said, and she stood by a wooden pole. I nodded and she kicked it in unison with me. It shuddered but did not fall. Two more, stronger kicks and the tarp fell, feathers flying. I looked at the people, most of the, hardly cared.

"Ugh, at this rate We'd need to set something of fire for them to pay attention." I muttered to Nita, who gave me a shocked look. "We walked down to the pier and my breath caught in my throat. I saw Boulder talking to someone, with Mirella walking nearby. She hadn't noticed Boulder. I tried to speak, but the words stuck in my throat, making it difficult to breath.

He walked over to where Mirella was untying a boat, and Nita called out, "Mirella!" She yelled, and I saw Boulder take a gun from his belt. "Hello, little one," He said, and Mirella stood up as he aimed, "remember me?" He wondered.

Bang!

My stomach tightened as the gun fired, and Mirella got a bullet lodged in her abdomen. She fell to her hands and knees, and I watched in shock as she fell into the water, deep crimson wafting through the water. "Mirella." I whispered, feeling nauseous.
