TW: SUICIDE
"Goodbye Jang Han Seok." She hung up the phone and took out the SIM card. She easily crushed it with her fingers and put it in her champagne.
Na-Ri watched the card sink to the bottom. She cried, "I'm sorry, Han Seok." She put her head in her hands as her tears drenched her sleeves. They were finally happy.
She sobbed for the rest of the flight to Italy. Why did this happen? She should've never come back. She shouldn't have fallen in love with him. Everything is ruined because of her.
The plane landed and Na-Ri felt numb. She didn't want to be back. She had hoped the plane would crash and she'd just die. But alas the universe wouldn't allow that to happen. It wanted her to suffer and watched her in pain. It would make her think she was happy but immediately take it back. It wasn't fair.
Na-Ri waited for the plane door to open and for the people to unload her things. Na-Ri looked at the black SUV they were putting her stuff in and fell ill. Why was he here? Did he come to torture her?
Na-Ri stood from her seat and walked down the plane's stairway. He saw her and had a big grin on his face. He was enjoying this? He walked over to her and put his arm around her waist.
"Lilia, how are you?"
She furrowed her brows and pushed him away from her. "What are you doing here, Paolo?"
"To pick you up isn't it obvious," he rolled his eyes. "God you're still dumb," he mumbled.
Na-Ri glared at him. "Why are you here? Didn't you already have enough fun today?" She folded her arms and raised an eyebrow.
He snapped his fingers. "I did that's why I'm here. I want to have some more fun." Na-Ri scoffed and walked towards the car, leaving him.
Paolo walked to her and pulled her arm. "Lilia, don't talk to me like that." He looked around at their surroundings and whispered in her ear, "Do you want me to tell people about the murders?"
Na-Ri looked up at him. Anger flashed her eyes and she wanted to hurt him. How dare he threaten her? That's when she remembered. "With what proof? Hmm." She tilted her head. "You don't have the pictures." She pulled back her arm and said, "Don't threaten me again. I have more proof on you than you'll ever have on me."
Paolo clenched his jaw. "I do have proof, Lilia. That lady with the glasses gave it to me." He took out his phone and showed it to her.
Na-Ri widened her eyes. That witch didn't keep her promise. She put down his phone and looked around them. He leaned forward and waited.
"I'm sorry, Paolo. I'm just in a bad mood." She breathed heavily and looked him in the eyes.
He smirked, "It's fine, Lilia but control your attitude in the future."
Na-Ri slowly nodded her head. He wrapped his arm around her waist again and walked to the car. She was obviously disgusted at this. This morning she was kissing the love of her life now she's with the one she despised the most.
The drive to her home was annoying for Na-Ri. Paolo being the pain in the ass he kept asking her questions and making conversation. She wasn't in the mood and looked out the window watching the moon. She frowned while watching it. It was a gibbous moon so it wasn't aesthetically pleasing to her.
Paolo sighed and she turned her head to him.
"Can you at least act like you're interested in what I'm saying?"
