Very short set up
~Chapter 15~
Why?
That's the question Tony asked himself the most this chapter.
Why?
Why did this happen?
Why did he have to do this?
Why her?
Why
Why
Why
It started out as a normal week in the tower, at least normal for the days Tony visited, which had become often since Hadley's move in
They'd eat breakfast together, go about their separate daily activities, have talks at different points in the day then they'd spend the night talking
That was Monday
On Tuesday, Hadley didn't show up to breakfast.
And Tony didn't see her doing any of her usual day to day chores.
And he knew her schedule like the back of his hand
Tuesday was laundry day
....
That's not as creepy as it sounds
And in the evening, when Hadley would usually join in on their talks before ducking out to do her patrols, she wasn't there either
On Wednesday, that's her lazy day, Tony had begun to worry
"Have you actually seen her at all today?" He asked, looking at Steve
"No. Not since she left Monday night" he replied
"Don't you usually see her come in?"
"Yeah. But I must've went to sleep before she did" Steve replied
Tony frowned. That never happens.
Steve had told him before that Hadley made sure to come back at the same time every night as to not worry the captain
"Relax. I'm sure she's just being antisocial" Steve replied
On Thursday was when everyone began to worry. Tony was going out of his mind
"She's not in her room" Nat had informed them as she came down the hall
"Where else could she be? It's not like her to not come home" Tony said
"Yeah. She usually comes home after patrolling." Steve said, "Something's wrong"
"What can we do? Enact a search party? Where would we even start?" Bruce asked
"I don't know." Tony said, "but we have to start somewhere"
~
The room was very dark. Darker than anywhere Hadley had been before
She flexed her fingers, her arms were sore from being tied to a chair for so long
She didn't know how long she'd been there
Hours?
Days?
She looked around the dark to, her eyes still not adjusting to the blackness
Her brain was tired. She'd been there for so long. She couldn't even think straight any more
Just then, blinding and bright, a light shown through, a door opened
"Hello Comet" an unfamiliar voice said as she heard footsteps
A shadow of a man appeared in front of her, an ugly scar across his face
"Let's have a little fun" he said
