~Chapter 29~
Hadley looked around as she rode next to Cap on her own motorcycle
"I didn't know you could ride a motorcycle" Tony said through the coms
"There's a lot you don't know about me Stark" Hadley replied with a smirk
"It's hot" he retorted, Hadley could hear the smile on his face and chuckled
"If you two could stop flirting, it's time to get this started" Barton cut in
"We're not-" Hadley scoffed, "let's do this"
The team split up, jumping a hill of snow as they did
Hadley kept a watchful eye as she fought a foot soldier, watching as Tony flew up toward the structure
And quickly bounced off of it
"Shit!" He exclaimed
"Language" Steve said through the coms
Hadley furrowed her brows as she lifted the guy she was fighting and threw him across the forest into a pile of snow
"J.A.R.V.I.S.? What's the view from upstairs?" Steve asked
"The central building is protected by some kind of energy shield" J.A.R.V.I.S. replied, "Strucker's technology is well beyond any Hydra base we've taken"
"Loki's scepter must be here, Strucker wouldn't have mounted this defense without it" Thor said, "At long last"
"At long last is lasting a little long boys" Nat said
"I agree" Hadley replied
"Yeah I think we lost the element of surprise" Clint added
"Wait a second" Tony cut in, "is no one else gonna deal with the fact that Cap just said... Language?"
Hadley chuckled
"I know" Cap sighed, there was an explosion, "it just slipped out..."
Hadley dodged a hit from a foot soldier and quickly fought him back
"Clint!" Nat suddenly shouted
Something whooshed past Hadley, knocking her over
"There's an enhanced in the field" Cap said
"Clint's hit!" Nat said, "Can someone take care of that bunker?"
There was a loud crash as Hulk took it out
"Thank you" Nat said
"Tony, we really need to get inside" Hadley said urgently
"I know, I'm closing in" Tony said, then he quietly added, "J.A.R.V.I.S. am I closing in?"
Hadley continued fighting, using her powers to throw and fight people while also using weapons from her new suit
There was a loud boom followed by an electronic noise
"Drawbridge is down people" Tony said
"Good job Stark" Hadley said
"Thanks I really tried" Tony replied, earning a laugh from her
"The enhanced?"
"He's a blur. All the new players we've faced, I've never seen this" Cap said, "in fact I still haven't.."
"Clint's hit pretty bad guys... We're gonna need Evac" Nat said
"I can get Barton to the jet" Thor said, "The sooner we're gone the better, you and Stark get the septor"
