~Chapter 37~
The red man flew through the room, stopping himself just before the outside window where he floated, staring out at the city
Hadley followed as everyone ran to the living room, staring tensely at the man as he watched the city
Then the man slowly floated back down to the team
"I'm sorry... that was... odd..." he looked at Thor, "Thank you..."
Thor nodded
The man stared at him for a moment before a golden cape appeared on his back
"Thor?" Steve said, "you helped create this?"
"I've had a vision" Thor replied, "A whirlpool that sucks in all hopes of life... and at its center.. is that"
Thor pointed to the yellow gem in the man's head
"What? The gem?" Bruce asked
"It's the Mind Stone... It's one of the six Infinity Stones" Thor said
"An Infinity what?" Hadley asked
"The greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities" Thor explained,
"Then why would you bring-" Steve started
"Because Stark is right" Thor interrupted,
"Oh it's definitely the end times" Bruce said, Hadley nodded
"The Avengers can not defeat Ultron" Thor continued
"Not alone" The red man said
"Why does your Vision sound like J.A.R.V.I.S.?" Steve asked
"We reconfigured J.A.R.V.I.S.'s matrix" Tony explained, "To create something new"
Tony and... The Vision walked toward each other, examining each other quietly
"I think I've had my fill of new" Steve said
"So... That's J.A.R.V.I.S.?" Hadley asked
"No." Tony said
"You think I'm a child of Ultron..." the Vision said
"You're not?' Steve asked
"I'm not Ultron... I'm not J.A.R.V.I.S. I'm..." The man paused quietly, "I am."
Tony and The Vision looked at each other before Wanda spoke
"I looked in your head and saw annihilation" she said,
"Look again" The Vision said
Clint scoffed "Her seal of approval means jack to me" he said
"Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself they all came from the Mind Stone" Thor said, "And they're nothing compared to what it can unleash but with it on our side.."
"Is it?" Steve asked, looking at Vision, "Are you? On our side?"
"I don't think it's that simple." Vision said
"Well it better get real simple real soon" Clint said
"I am on the side of life and Ultron isn't" Vision said, "he will end it all"
"And that means?" Hadley asked
Vision looked at Hadley quietly and she sighed and nodded
"What's he waiting for?" Tony asked
"You" Vision replied
"Where?" Bruce asked
"Sokovia. He's got Nat there too" Clint stated
Bruce looked at Vision quietly "If we're wrong about you.." he said, "If you're the monster that Ultron made you to be..."
"What will you do?" Vision asked quietly
The Avengers all stared at him quietly and it seemed he understood.
Vision sighed
"I don't want to kill Ultron..." he said, "he's unique... and he's in pain... but that pain will roll over the earth... So he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net. We have to act now and not one of us can do it without the others.... Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are and not what you intended. So there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go"
Vision turned to Thor, holding his hammer toward him. Hadley's eyes widened and she looked at the rest, who all stared at Vision in shock
Thor took the hammer and Vision walked off.
There was a confused silence before Thor cleared his throat and patted his hammer
"Right" he walked off after Vision, he patted Tony's shoulder, "Well done"
"Three minutes, get what you need" Steve said before they separated

Hadley sat on a counter, adjusting her suit sleeves, waiting on the others
"I want first crack at the big guy" Tony said to Steve, "Ironman is what he's waiting for"
"That's true, he hates you the most" Vision said as he walked past them and to Hadley
He stood there, staring at her for a moment before she glanced up
"What?"
"You are... sad" he stated
"Yeah. Well J.A.R.V.I.S. was a friend of mine... and now he's gone." Hadley said
"No... he lives on... In me" Vision spoke, "I know you Miss Velvet. Just as I know Mr. Stark. Do not worry. Your friend will always be here"
Hadley gave a slight smile "Well... At least that's something I suppose... Thank you..."
"But... That's not all is it?" Vision asked, glancing over at Tony, "Something else upsets you"
Hadley looked over at Tony, meeting his eyes "yeah... well... Don't worry... I'm a big girl... I can handle a little heart break"
She hopped off the counter and walked off
"Ultron knows we're coming. Odds are we'll be riding into heavy fire. And that's what we signed up for" Steve said, "But the people of Sokovia, they didn't. So our priority is getting them out"
The Avengers nodded as their jet flew toward the coming battle
