The beeping sound resounding in a close room, Nikolai's parent is still in a coma after the incident but his father shows an improvement for he opened his eyes on a third day then asleep again.

Standing beside his mother, Nikolai caresses her face, whisperings sweet words for her. Max who is watching him smiled sadly, Elijah is on the corner silently observing them. Heaving a deep breath Max took a seat beside Elijah who is watching his mate.

"You say you will take him to the Midnight mountain? " Max asked in a low voice looking at Nikolai who is holding his mother's face. He noticed the uncertainty in his brother's boyfriend so he decided to tell him the truth. "I know about you, I know everything, so feel free to tell me about your plan for my brother. " Max blurted out still in a low voice.

Elijah look at him and took a deep breath.

"Yes, I will train him on weapons and also one on one fighting. His physique is good but he needs proper training to protect himself. Although I will protect him with my life, I want to make sure that no one will hurt him if ever I'm not on his side. " Elijah replied calmly, still staring at his mate that now is walking towards them.

"Take care of him El, we may be not related but he is still my younger brother! " Max said while reaching his hand to Nikolai which the younger didn't hesitate to accept. "I'll call you once we got some progress tomorrow, take good care of yourself okay? Mom and dad will kill me if something bad happens to you! " He pulls his brother into a hug and caresses Nikolai's back.

A hum was heard from Nikolai who clutching the hem of his brother's shirt.

Elijah taps Max's shoulder as an answer for what he said earlier and a nod as promised that he will take good care of Nikolai.

They leave the hospital with a light heart knowing that his parent shows the progress of waking up soon. Nikolai reaches for his mate's hand and walks together, smiling at each other unaware of the hateful eyes that watching them from a distance.

Type is looking outside, the forest ahead of them is full darkness although the moon shines brightly. The sudden feeling of uneasiness creeps into his heart, the thoughts of his brothers suddenly flash on his mind.

The dark surroundings felt heavier as if someone is watching him from the inside of that secluded area.

"Papa? " He heard Thanya's voice calling at him.

He turn around and saw her daughter standing behind him smiling.

"Yes, princess? " Type asked,

Thanya hugged him and together they look at the dark forest, they were lost in their thoughts when strong sturdy arms enveloped them together, it was Tharn.

The two giggled.

"This is the first time I felt creepy while looking at the forest, the fact that it was a playground for our wolves, I felt like something dangerous lurking there. " Thanya suddenly said that made her parents look at her in surprise.

"What do you mean princess? " Type asked with confusion in his eyes.

"I felt footsteps on the ground heavier than the steps of our pack members. Even the waterfalls drop their water harshly on the stream. I felt the presence of someone but I can't describe what it was. " Thanya look at the forest again.

Tharn and Type glance at each other.

"Mind link Elijah to be careful, I will send some warriors to meet them. Princess, stay inside the house and don't go out until your brother reach here okay? " Type told his daughter but Thanya snorted out.
