I went around, having conversations with other authorities about current topics from the world, to maybe get smaller allies, treaties, or even a stronger relationship, acting like it is a business night. Levi was with me the entire time and sometimes talked with the people himself, to move faster around them.

An hour in the fiesta-party, as Levi likes to call every celebration now, one of the organizers comes up to me to talk privately.

"Sorry to bother your night, Your Majesty, but the protocol says "A dance between the King and Queen, if they are single, to show the unity of the alliance' and we wanted to know if you would like to complete this part," he says sheepishly.

"Right, is he even single?" I asked, almost out of my own curiosity.

"We confirmed with his team yesterday, and he is," he replies, nodding.

"Then, yes, it's protocol. But move it in 20 minutes, please" I added. "Of course, Your Majesty." he bows and quickly goes away.

Gosh, I really, really, really don't want to be here right now, or even dance with that prick. I want to go to the tree room or even to Louis's invisible room.

"Long night?" Levi's voice says behind me, making me jump.

"You fuck-, don't scare me!" I exclaimed, placing my hand in my chest.

He chuckled and ignored my comment, he continued, "So him?"

"Don't get me started." I scoffed, leaning on the wall behind me.

"Want me to punch him so that he could see the beautiful soulmate he has or do you want me to castrate him with one of my wonderful kicks?" Levi asked jokingly, but with a serious tone toward the end.

"I prefer option B," I replied with a monotone voice, staring at the crowd.

I suddenly see King Theodore at a distance, having a conversation around some member of my Council. I noticed how some of them even laughed at the things he was saying. I don't know if it is to please a king or if he was actually funny.

It angered me that every move he made or even the way he expressed himself was attractive, like why waste such a masterpiece on someone who ignores his soulmate.

But I have to recognize, I am ignoring him too, but there's a reason for it, a good one.

He must've sensed that someone was watching him, and averted his gaze towards me. I quickly dodged his eyes and walked towards the band.

The 20 minutes seem to pass quite fast, and the spokesman is already on top of the stage announcing our dance.

"We announce this special dance to represent our new unity and new beginning. Please welcome to the center of the ballroom, Queen Alexandria and King Theodore!'' The audience cheered for their Queen and Kings, making me even tenser.

In front of me stood what was supposed to be the love of my life, emphasis in supposed to be. We walk towards each other and stop at the center of the room, electricity running through our eyes.

"Queen Alexandria," he said, with a low soft voice, with a courtesy.

"King Theodore," I said back, savoring the way it rolls in my tongue, and did a courtesy myself.

He places one of his big hands on my waist, suddenly becoming very aware of mine and his body. I softly place my hand on his shoulder, not taking the eye contact away. He grabbed my other hand in his, and the skin-to-skin contact made the sparks come back.
