"I have a question," I say right away as I appear in Louis's invisible room.
Is currently around 10 PM and the night sky can be seen from the roof light above. The wind is slightly turning colder but the humidity is present from the rainy days that await us. The only source of light is the candles that are scattered around, giving the room a warm ambiance and amazing smell.
"Fleur, you are here!" Louis' voice shrank, closing with a bang the big book he had on top of his desk.
That reaction made my eyes squint in suspicion of what he could've been doing.
"Did I interrupt something? I can leave if you want." I suggest, pointing back at the door.
"Oh no, no, I was just working on some secret witchy stuff, you know, the usual." He let a nervous laugh out before clearing his throat.
"Sure, quoi d'autre? You know, you are a really bad liar. I expected more from you, Louis." I joke, eyeing from afar the cover of the big-ass book. (What else?)
"Anyways, what is the book about?" I curiously ask, rapidly making my way towards him before he reacts.
"No!" Louis exclaims before vanishing the book into thin air.
What on earth is happening?
He let out a big breath as he closed his eyes. "It's nothing you need to worry about, Alexandria."
Ohh he used my name, so it's really bad.
"Well, your actions contradict your words." I retorted, squinting my eyes in a bewildered way.
If it's something that I shouldn't worry about, he wouldn't have reacted that way. He usually tells me the name of the secret witchy stuff knowing how my curiosity is, but why not this time?
I refrain from using my Queen voice on him to tell me because, one, I don't want to abuse my power because I want to know a stupid book, and two, it usually breaks trust in relationships, something I saw in the past.
Louis stays silent, trying to find the words to respond. Seeing his mental debate, I say "You know what, it's okay. You have the right to your privacy and I will respect it, however, I need an answer for this."
Relief is evident in his expression, seeing how his shoulders relaxed as well as his facial muscles. "Demandez-moi, Fleur." (Ask me, Flower.) He nodded his head.
"First, some background information; Theodore agreed out of nowhere to be in a "fake" relationship for the sake of the border situation, which is weird." I start explaining and avert my gaze to his face. Louis has a knowing smile as if this story is nothing new to him.
"You knew?" I ask.
"Yes, actually, he came to talk to me after the meeting this morning," Louis informed in a very casual way.
"Oh... cool. Anyways, since you know that part, I will skip some parts. This afternoon he prepared this meal at the gazebo, with a very tasty risotto by the way, and I noticed something that I've seen since he arrived."
I try to figure out the choice of words I would use next since I don't even understand the situation. I could either scare him or make him even more confused than I am. So, I choose to go straight to the point.
"I think Theodore is possessed."
Great choice of words, Alexandria.
"You think what?!" Exclaims Louis with widened eyes.
