JJ's POV

Emily and I met Garcia at an adorable café that Emily knew from her time in London. We sat down at a small table outside under the awning. I picked up the menu scanning the options.

The waitress came to take our order; Garcia and I both ordered French Toast with berries while Emily ordered an omelet with spinach and tomatoes.

I looked over at her. I knew that Emily had struggled with eating for a long time. She finally confided in me a few months ago and since then I had done my best to help her. To me she looked perfect, but I understood that she needed some help.

Shortly after our food arrived and we dug in. We all finished our meals pretty quickly, even Emily, who only left a few scraps.

We got the bill, all fighting over who would pay... Garcia won in the end.

We roamed the streets for a little, wandering into fancy bakeries and boutiques.

We eventually met up with guys to go sightseeing. The whole time Garcia pointed at things that she had seen went she visited Emily.

We all had a great time, even Hotch.

I had noticed Spencer acted a bit stand off-ish all day. He wasn't exactly what you would call the "social type" but he want completely antisocial, especially not with the team.

Whenever we got the chance to stop somewhere, he quickly engaged in a conversation with either Emily, Hotch, Rossi, Morgan or Garcia. Really, anyone, but me.

I brushed it off, trying to not think about it.

That night, Emily, Garcia, Morgan, Spence and I decided to go out for dinner.

As we headed up to elevator to our rooms, Garcia, Emily and I discussed what we were going to wear. We were interrupted by the ding of the elevator.

We headed into our respective rooms to get ready.

Spencer told me he was going to take a quick shower so I began to get ready in the main room.

I pulled a chair up in front of the mirror to do my makeup. I applied a light layer of foundation and sparkly eye shadow. I finished the look with bronzer, highlight, mascara, and a touch of pink lip gloss.

I began to undress until I was in just my underwear. I hooked my strapless bra before slipping on my brand new red slip-dress.

I turned to admire myself in the mirror, catching Spencer in the corner of my eye.

"Oh! I didn't see you there Spence" I wonder how long he'd been there. By the look on his face, long enough to see more than my dress.

"Uh, um, uh, sorry" He muttered, stepping away to slide on his shoes.

I pulled out a pair of beige flip flops before heading out the door.

We bumped into Morgan and Garcia on the way to the elevator, and soon found out Emily was already waiting in the lobby.

The restaurant was fairly close so we were able to walk.

We arrived at the restaurant and Emily got us a table.

We talked for what felt like hours, it was amazing to catch up with my family outside of a case. Occasionally we go out after a case but this hit so much different.

We all left the restaurant, completely stuffed. The walk back to the hotel felt nice, especially after our huge dinner.

On the walk back we discussed plans for tomorrow; the morning plan was still in progress but we for sure wanted to go to a club tomorrow night.

We finally arrived back at the hotel and I swiped the key, opening the door to our room.

I headed into the bathroom to take a quick shower. I rinsed off and quickly scrubbed my hair before turning off the water and wrapping myself in a towel.

After towel drying my long, blonde hair, I threw it up into a high ponytail.

My pajamas consisted of the same thing as the previous night, but this time a black top instead of white. You could still see my nipples poking threw, but you thankfully couldn't make out my whole boob.

I plopped down onto my bed and tucked myself under the covers. Spencer put down his book and did the same, both of us drifting off to sleep.

I awoke restlessly in the middle of the night, doubling over in pain. I pulled my knees up to my chest, trying to hide the cramps I was feeling.

Apparently I was much louder than intended because Spence had woken up and said "JJ what's going on? Are you okay?"

"Yeah Spence, I'm okay, just really bad cramps"

"Are you, um, on your"

Shit. I didn't even think about that. I only brought a single tampon with, not expecting my period.

"Shit, um"

"Maybe you should, uh, get up, and uh, check"

I was half asleep and still in so much pain. I forced myself to push off the covers and pull myself out of the bed.

I turned to face the bed, my back to Spencer.

"Ah fuck"

There was a large red stain on the white sheets. I quickly turned back around, realizing that stained shorts were facing Spencer.

As I went to my suitcase to dig for a tampon, Spencer stood up out of bed.

"No Spence, don't worry about me. Go back to sleep"

"It's okay Jayje, I'm up anyway"

Spence walked over to me before heading into the bathroom to turn on the shower. He lied a fresh towel on the floor for me.

"As Spence you really didn't need to do this"

"No, it's not a problem"

I always loved how being around Spence felt like being around family. He was always there for me.
