Harry's pov
I walked into meeting room, I looked around seeing the old hardwood table my predecessors used to make choices to safeguard the world many times before me. The new leather chairs sat vacantly as I slowly walked to the head of the table, my aids placed folders at each of the chairs while I stared at the wall. I mused to myself "I wonder what's happening right now" my train of thought was interrupted by my right hand man Viktor saying "everything's set up sir" I looked over at him "oh, uh, thank you Viktor." I heard the door open and saw the military officials of several nations walk in. I heard General McHill, the commander of the 75th Ranger Regiment say "I hope you have a good reason for dragging us here, Director" I replied plainly "I have a mission to propose, it's extremely high risk but if we pull it off a great victory" Commander Leipzig, commanding officer of the KSK, replied "what do you propose?" I spoke "if you look at the contents of the folders infront of you, you will be appraised of the situation. 2 teams, One lead by Captain Shawn Ryan of CAG the other by Operator Erik Thorn of Team Rainbow are trapped in enemy territory. The helicopter that got sent in to extract them was taken down trapping one gunner and the crew chief with the teams"
Lieutenant colonel Irwin, 2nd in command of SASR, asked "what do you want from us Harry?" I replied plainly "I'm proposing we build a task force, to go retrieve our troops. There's troops from the US, Britain, Spain and South Korea behind enemy lines counting on us to get them out. The mission is already public, the loss of a Chinook made headlines. If we leave these soldiers to get themselves out it will be a stain on all of our militaries." General McHill leaned on the table and asked in reply "You want us to send more troops in to recover 2 teams from enemy lines?" I nodded and replied "yes sir" he sighed as Colonel Krishkonav, captain of FSB, replied "estimate of the enemy size?" I replied "ISR is estimating anywhere from 300-5,000" the leaders looked nervous at the idea of sending their troops into that fight. Viktor asked from my right "Permission to speak sir?" I looked over and replied "Granted" he stepped forward and said plainly "I understand you're all nervous at the prospect, however for each second you wait the threat we lose more men and women grows"
Commander Leipzig replied "You are correct, I will send my 1st commando company to take part in this task force" general McHill sighed before saying "You have 1st platoon A company 1st battalion of the 75th Ranger regiment at your disposal director." Colonel Krishkonav added on "FSB will offer our intelligence services in any way possible" Captain Clarkson of the SAS said "you've got 1st troop A company as well." Lieutenant Colonel Irwin said "SASR will assist in any way possible Director" I dipped my head and said "All troops involved in the task force should report to Hereford tomorrow" as the officers stood and started filing out. General McHill paused next to me and said "do not fail, you have too many resources at your fingertips to let this operation fail." I nodded as he walked out. I heard Viktor as the door closed "that went better than expected sir" I replied "much better, I expected more debates" he chuckled as one of the intelligence analysts from the CIA burst into the room "sir, we've received a transmission from them" I asked "what'd they send?" She replied "Tombstone is requesting resupply, food and ammo sir"
I replied simply "get it done" she nodded as Viktor said "they must've been in heavy contact to be requesting resupply. I know Shawn brings enough ammo for 3 missions, I wonder why he's out" I looked over and said "enough of the musings, we knew they were in contact. I can only assume they got hit by the brunt of the masks and that's why they're out" he sighed before asking "do you think this task force will get them out?" I replied simply "we're sending nearly 70 soldiers to retrieve them, they're going to have humvees and ammo. If they can't get to Tombstone and his teams, tombstone and his teams will have to make it to them. But they will come home" he replied "I suppose so" I replied teasingly trying to lessen the stress "besides there's Rangers going, don't you guys say Rangers lead the way?" He nodded smiling slightly before saying "yes sir" I ordered swiftly "go get some rest. Our task force should be here tomorrow, then we can start making our move" he saluted before slipping out of the room as I stood and looked around at the empty table.
