YEONJUN

It has been a week and a half since I started working in this camp. As always, my job is stressful. But as the days passed by, I got used to running to the beach just to save these stupid hopeless romantic and heartbroken people.

I haven't seen YJ for days now. She's locked herself up in her room again like what Hyunjin told me. Although, it bothers me to not see her at her personal beach bed and observe her guests trying to kill themselves or have fun. I just hope she's not trying to starve herself to death like Beomgyu, who is by the way, getting better each day. Ryujin takes him out of his shell every morning. They remind me of Kenma and Kuroo from the anime, Haikyu.

Lunchtime. Finally.

I went to the restaurant (the only restaurant in this island) and ordered something that is not seafood. I ate seafood for one week, and I got sick of it. I loved seafood, but I didn't know too much of it will make me give up on eating it.

I greeted the cook and staff a good afternoon, and they returned a smile at me. Some were giggling. I know very well that ever since they saw me on my first day here, they already found me attractive. Of course, I am Choi Yeonjun.

"Good afternoon, Yeji-ssi." I shifted my attention to the person beside me, and saw that it was indeed Yeji standing there.

I smiled. "Long time no see, boss."

She furrows her eyebrows and spoke, "Since when did you call me boss?"

"Well, you are my boss, so I think I should call you that," I replied.

She took a slice of wheat bread and a small cup of peanut butter, and glanced up to me afterwards. "Please stop calling me that."

She walked away, and I followed her immediately. She sat on a reserved table labeled, YJ's AREA. I sat with her anyway.

"Oh wow. You actually sat with me," she said and scoffed.

"Why wouldn't I." I smiled and started eating my delicious grilled chicken.

I looked at Yeji who was slowly eating her slice of bread. Feeling bad, I cut a piece of my food and placed it on her plate. She stared at it for a while, and then raised an eyebrow at me.

"Eat properly, and stop starving yourself."

"I am not," she replied.

Without wasting a second, I asked her. "Then why did you lock yourself in your cabin for days?"

She went silent. I even counted how many seconds she was quiet after hearing my question. She opened her mouth, but smirked before saying anything.

"You noticed?"

"Yeah? Isn't that normal?" She shrugged her shoulders and pointed her bread knife at me.

"Yeah, but I didn't know you would notice."

"Does this mean you actually care for me?" She asked, resting her chin on her palm. Shit she looks cute.

I laughed and said, "Of course I care about you! You're the one who pays me. Who will give me my salary if you die, right?"

The moment I said that, she snapped back to her usual self. She sat straight and looked down on her food. As she spreads peanut butter on the rest of the sliced wheat bread, she answered my question.

"I will not die. I have the biggest cabin in this island. I have my own kitchen, and dining area there. It's basically my whole house, so it's normal for me to not go out on the beach." She shoved the bread to her mouth, and walked out of the restaurant.

What did I do?

"Man... You have to talk to her after that." I glanced up and saw Soobin.

"Why would I? We didn't fight," I said.

"Haha. Exactly my point. You didn't even fight, yet she walked away."

Oh. I guess I'm screwed.

SOOBIN

He's definitely screwed. Yeonjun, I mean. I went out of the restaurant, and saw Lia. Sitting on a hammock again. Then, I saw Chaeryeong running out of Taehyun's cabin. Huh, that's interesting.

I glanced to where Lia was, and she was gone. So, I decided to sit on the hammock she was sitting on a while ago.

"If you want to talk to me, just approach me. It's creepy to know that someone stares at you every day." I looked over to my right and saw Lia. Crap. She knew.

Then she sits beside me comfortably. "If it weren't for your angelic face and personality, I would immediately assume that you're planning to murder me."

"So, why are you here?" I asked her.

"My ex. He cheated and stuff. Nothing unusual really. I'm just tired of it, that's all."

Cheating is usual for her? Damn, how many times has she experienced being cheated on?

"Probably three. Well, two of them weren't my boyfriend, we never became a thing. But hello? What would you think if your crush who has mutual feelings for you who kept on flirting with you, suddenly texts another girl. That sucks, right?"

She looked at me with a frustrated me. It took me seconds to analyze the whole thing that she said, and finally, I laughed.

"Well, that does suck. Don't worry. This place will help you forget those boys." I rolled my eyes and patted her head.

Her lips twitched and gazed at the beach. "Yeah, I know. I am slowly forgetting them because of you."

What the— "Kidding."

I sighed in relief, but somehow... for some unknown reason, I felt disappointed.
