22. Sportsfestival

Class 1-A waited eagerly for the start of the sports festival.
They were all a little surprised at Izuku's assessment, but Akira was pleased that he had such hope in her.

"Well then here they are, the hope of the heroes, our 1-A !!!!" Heard Present Mic saied and the class started moving.

Akira was blinded by the sun that shone into the stadium. The students were greeted with thunderous applause. Smiling and waving, they stood in front of a small pedestal.

The other classes were called but not greeted as extremely and joyfully as the 1-A, they felt special.

Said the black-haired, pro hero on the podium. She was known as a 18+ hero. You could see why.

"Akira Braun, you got the highest score in the entrance exam, be so nice and say a few words." Said Midnight and moved from the podium where a microphone stood.

Izuku said to Akira that she would probably have to give a speech, which is why she had prepared.

"I promise a fair game. This year will be a special festival and I'm happy to be part of it all. UA students, classmates and friends. Let us show everyone what the next generation of heroes can do. Let us show the heroes that we are worthy to be the next generation of heros. Let's prove that we are worthy to be in this school! "

Midnight finally started the competition.

Akira's classmates weren't stupid, she knew that, which is why she jumped into the air at the start signal. Just in time before Shoto froze the ground.
Akira ran off and slid across the ice to move faster.

Since she wasn't the only one who had managed to escape Shoto's ice cream, she hurried and increased her speed.

The students arrived at a wide area and the giant robots of the entrance exam shot out of the ground.

Without a moment's hesitation or stopping, Akira ran towards the monster, ready to destroy it as she had done during the exam. However, Shoto was faster and just jumped over the robo and froze him.

Immediately, the clever villain used the remaining ice as a ramp and raced over the robot, just in time as it collapsed behind her.

Akira only marginally noticed how Izuku said that the reaction time of most students would be a disaster and that they probably still have to work on it.
The villain's full attention was on Todoroki, who was obviously not thrilled with the fact that she had almost caught up with him.

Shoto increased his speed to stay on top. Akira stayed calmly and shortly behind him without having to increase her pace.

After a short distance they came to a ravine. Katsuki Bakugo had caught up with them with the help of his explosions and simply jumped over the ravine.

Todoroki used his ice to walk over the thin wires that formed a dangerous bridge over the deep abyss.

Akira collected herself briefly and balanced herself over the wires, her cat senses helped her a lot. Her cats tail made sure she didn't lose her balance.

Because it took her a little longer to reach the gorge, she had to pick up the speed to catch up with Todoroki and Bakugo, who were fighting at the top.

Akira had almost caught up with them when they reached a minefield. Present Mic announced it as the final obstacle.

Regardless of what they were doing, the two first placed ran on, caring precious little about the mines.

They made it difficult for the spy. The pink explosions clouded her senses. She had to slow down, but luckily not for to long.

Now they were finally close to their finish. Akira could still make it, at least she hoped.

Akira accelerated again and was right next to the two fighting boys.
They noticed too late.

The three ran into the tunnel that separated them from the finish line, only now did the two boys notice that the spy and her eyes widened.

Suddenly everything went in slow motion. Bakugo and Todoroki launched an attack at the same time. Akira continued to sprint and was suddenly in front of them. The distance between them grew larger.

The light blinded the girl as she ran out of the tunnel. She didn't even notice how she ran through the finishing line. Only when the cheers broke out did she look behind her.

Bakugo and Todoroki looked around in shock. In the tunnel she had increased her speed so fast that they only got through the finish 5 seconds after her.

Akira jumped joyfully in the air and let out a joyful meow.

With a bottle of water in hand, she sat on the side of the bench and took a deep breath. Fortunately, her stamina wasn't that bad. If she hadn't had such stamina, the race would have turned out differently.

When the last ones were at the finish, Izuku spoke again.

"What a race. Shoto Todoroki in third place, Katsuki Bakugo in second and the winner of this race is Akira Braun.
The perseverance of these students is really great.
They didn't need a long time to think about the obstacles either and reacted immediately. To be honest, I'm a little disappointed with the 2nd and 3rd place.
