"I, Kim Namjoon, take my first step as the chief executive officer to a new and better Kim Corps. Responsibilities have been bestowed upon me by the fellow workers who will be carried out by me diligently. I plan on making Kim Corps a corporation like never experienced before. My thoughts are currently filled with blueprints for a new and better atmosphere of unification and coexistence. I plan on being one of the best CEO this corporation has ever seen. Standing in this position at the age of 24, being one of the youngest leaders in the history of the company, I promise you with my heart that I will be standing before the people of this corporation and will be serving as an honest leader."
That was 3 years ago. Looking at the photo of the oath-taking ceremony placed on his desk, he reminisces about the time when he promised about being an honest businessman and leader. It feels like a lifetime ago.
"Huh, I should have known better that I can't achieve shit without getting my hands dirty. But well, I have all this now so I don't even care. I'm 27 and a pretty successful CEO with a shitload of power so at the end who's the real winner?" Namjoon says out loud smirking to himself while fixing his tie right before leaving for work.
His young age might be the reason for making him approachable, but that was one of the many reasons everyone loved him as their head, colleague, and most importantly, friend.
His hair gelled back, crisp white shirt, a navy blue suit made everyone gawk at him when he entered his office building. Many of Namjoon's colleagues secretly crushed on him and Maya, his secretary, was no exception. However, she struggled the most as she was always working with him. Since the start, she has been working with him and was a part of his journey, thus making her one of his closest people.
She could never risk showing her feelings as she wanted to maintain a professional and partly platonic relationship.
But her heart sank every time she saw him close to someone else. Namjoon always talked to her about his secret rendezvous being completely unaware of her feelings for him. Can't blame him though, she did a pretty good job hiding it.

A/N: This is just the first chapter giving the backstory which is why it is comparatively small. Hopefully, the other chapters will be longer. This is my first story so please excuse the minor mistakes and do not forget to enjoy :)
