Katya's POV
It can't get any bigger.

At nine months, it can't get any bigger.

I have asked Federov to postpone the wedding until after the baby is born but he wont have it. He wants to marry me before the baby is born. I'll be a pumpkin on legs walking down the aisle.

"Is this any better?" I asked my bestie for her opinion.

A selection was brought to tge house for my choosing. Federov did notbwant me to walk around tirelessly looking for a gown when they can be brought to me.

"What's the rush?" Keira asked me. She is filing her nails quietly. She hasnt said much since she got here. But her lack of words are compensated by nasty looks. She has a lot to say but she's biting it back.

I purposely waited an entire month before I told her. I couldn't risk a thorough lashing from her or any of the girls who are not in support of what I'm doing. Even my own mother is against this. It's like Ferrer rallied everyone's support over night.

"Why did you marry Sinclair as soon as it was over with Nick?"

"That's not the point Katya."

"I want the baby to be born in a stable home."

"A stable home?" She frowned delicately. "With a step father?"

"He doesn't see himself that way."

"He's not the baby's father and never will be. Katya, I love you and I pleading with you to reconsider. Marriage is-"

"Forever? You have been through four and now you're marching on to your fifth. You're marrying Nick again, right?"

"Marriage is intense." She maintained the frown on her face. "When you marry this man, you're giving him permission to have a say in what happens in you life and your daughter's life. Are you ready to give him thay much control?"

The alternative is Ferrer's uncertainty.

I'm looking for a big sign to tell me to stop but so far, im on a oath without signs. I'll keep going till I see that sign.

"Is this dress any better than the others?"

"You cant hide nine months of pregnancy Katya." She gracefully rose to her feet. "If you want to make the mistake by all means do it. I won't get in your way nor will I stand by you. I'm sorry."

"You're such a bitch."

She froze in her steps. I saw how sge ckenched her purse. Her blue naiks dag so deep into the leather I thought she would rip it.

"It's the hormones talking, I forgive you." She faced me.

"You are!" I screamed at her. "I stood by you when you were dating a married man! If something reads wrong, it's that! I never left your side! So why are you leaving me now?"

"I'm not leaving you." She spoke in a controlled tone. I'm falling apart and she is perfectly composed. Sometimes I doubt tbat she is human. "I'm not supporting your marriage to him. If you need anything else that does not involve Federov I'll be there for you but not this."

"If you go this is over. Our friendship is over."

"Sweetie, it will never be over between us. Our friendship is set in stone. You're just upset and it's okay. You're processing a lot of emotions and it kust be overwhelming. But I can't be party to you refusing to see that there is something wrong with the scenario. Katya, you admitted to him thay you slept with Ferrer more than once and he still proposed. Aren't you troubled?"

"Just go Kei. Go away!" I pushed her. She almost tripped on her heeled shoes but Julio steadied her. "I hate you!"

She looked disappointed but she left the bedroom.
