My eyes settled on Cole Michael. He is the easiest to talk to among these guys. Nick is still a no show. He said he will be here but he's cutting it awfully close. Bruce is still texting with a stupid smile on his face. Again, he never texts and he doesn't smile. Dani has done a number on him.

Tony is busy falling in love with his reflection.

Sinclair is reading the newspaper.

It's a quiet Friday afternoon.

I'm getting married today. I hope I will because if she says no, I am so abducting her and taking her to an island where it will just be us until she gives up on her stubbornness.

"Did you ever get cold feet?" I asked Cole Michael.

"Yeah!" Cole chuckled straightening his light grey bowtie. "I mean when you've been chasing a girl for years and she finally agrees to marry you, there's a measure of anxiety that comes with it. I was worried she would bail out on me. Until we both said 'I do' I was nervous. It's normal to feel that way. I'm sure you're not the only one. Tony, were you nervous?"

Marc Anthony has gotten his hands on some wine. Happy hour has started for him. The playboy who finally got married smiled at us. "I didn't have that."

Even Bruce heard that. We all looked at him.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Quite sure mate. I was excited!"

I found a reason to smile. I am almost at ease. "Did you get cold feet?"

"All two times." Nick answered as he made his entrance. He's already dressed. He gave everyone a quick fist bump. He has married twice and would be best qualified to give advice. "But you get past it once you see her walking down the aisle."

"Which of your two ex wives are you talking about?" Tony asked him. "Kei or Margaux?"

"Kei. With Margaux, I should have listened to my gut and not married her. I can say that when something doesn't feel right, then it's not. Always listen to your gut."

"Bruce?" I turned to the man who won't out his phone down.

"I was too excited to worry." He answered without looking up. "If you try to run we will carry you down the aisle. That's why we are here. Don't fret."

I'm not worried about flaking out. I won't. I'm serious about commiting to Katya. "Theo?"

He looked at Nick first. Nick raised his eyebrow at him. What are they saying to each other?

"Both times. With Kei I was scared she would run so I met her halfway. With Leen it was a mixture of nervousness and excitement."

"Are you alright?" Nick asked me.

"Yeah. I'm about to pull off something crazy and for the sake of my sanity it better work."

Katya's POV
"Why are we at Ferrer's house?" I asked the woman sitting behind the wheel of the Range Rover. She tapped her fingers on the slick black wheel. "Keira Charlotte Ballard! I'm asking a question."

She glanced at me with a fierce gaze. She doesn't know this but when she wills it, her sapphires cease to be kind. They remind me of her hostile son Marcelle. She blinked and it was suddenly tender. "Do you trust me?"

"With my life."

"Good because behind those doors is a decision you have to make. Let's call it the last chance. Whatever you decide I'll respect."

"Okay." I rubbed circles around my baby. I'm feeling a little off and I'm getting uncomfortable.

"Let me fix your face." She reached for her make up bag in the back seat. I sat still and allowed her to fix my face for the second time today.
