Jake's POV 🎤
Flash back
I watched Drew as he walked casually down the hill. I took one last look at the view, took a deep breath, and walked after him. As I was walking I heard voices and dived behind a bush, peaking out only a bit. Then, it happened. I ducked back under the bush and waited until I was sure no one was around before running home.
End of flash back
I open my eyes and let the memory slowly disappear into my mind. I stand up from my bed and walk slowly to my computer. I have to talk to Drew. I fish my phone from my pockets and scroll through my contacts until I find what I am looking for. I click on Drew's profile and request to Face Time him.
"When were you gonna tell me?" I ask, when he finally answers.
Drew's POV 💲
He didn't see, did he? He doesn't look disappointed so probably not. "W- what are you talking about?" I ask with a nervous chuckle. Jake takes a deep breath. "I saw everything, Drew. When were you gonna tell me?"
W-what? How does he know? "Look, Jake, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I-" "OMG. So are you guys official? When is the wedding and when was I going to get my invite?"What is he talking about? "So you're not disappointed?" "Of course not. Why would I be?" "It's just that I made fun of Zander and Luke for being gay and then I go and kiss Ellias."
"I personally think it's cute and I totally ship it but it doesn't change that you have to apologise and get on good terms with Milly so she'll let you date Ellias." "W-what? Why?" "Ellias is Elliot's cousin. "Oh." I feel my face drooping with disappointment. "How am I meant to make them like me?" "Just be nice. And apologise. It will take a while for them to warm up to you, especially Zander, but I'm sure they'll eventually see how nice you can be."
"Thanks, Jake. For everything." "Of course. What are friends for? Am I right?" "Yeah, bye." "Ciao." I end the call and fall back into my mind and thoughts of Ellias slowly creep in and this time, for the first time ever, I don;t try to stop them.
I- I don't know what to say at this point.
