FALSE COLORS || Yeonkai ||

CHAPTER 6

Hueningkai and Soobin were seated on the side, Yeonjun was standing before them, he finally took time to analyze Soobin's outfit. He was wearing a red t-shirt with navy blue stripes, tucked in wide blue jeans.

He had a funky belt on and his ears were filled with metal hoops. Soobin looked good, he won't lie but Yeonjun looked the best. Taehyun could eat trash.

He turned to Kai who looked a little uncomfortable and Soobin too was checking the blonde out shamelessly, this bitch. The boy donned a simple yellow oversized sweatshirt and back jeans, his blonde hair was curled lightly and he looked so cuddle able.

How can a human be this cute, he swooned internally at the light flush appearing on his cheeks.

"So I just kind of toppled on the wires there and ended up dragging Soobinnie with it, there is nothing more to it. Don't go around spreading rumors" He hissed the last part and Yeonjun's brow lifted.

"You didn't have to justify you know. And I am not the type to go spewing things like Beomgyu" and Soobinnie? What the hell? He hears a scoff from Soobin at that and he glares at the taller who smirks lazily.

"You act like you aren't the other half of Choi Beomgyu" The voice is sickeningly sweet the same goes with the mocking smile. Kai blinks in between switching gazes between them and Yeonjun decides he can't lose with a spectator especially with someone as cute as Kai.

"Oh please, you would be the other half if anything, you become unnaturally violent with Beomgyu and the guy feeds off it" He scowls and Soobin rolls his eyes.

Kai is amused, the manager and the employee have been going on it for about a whole fifteen minutes, though he must admit Yeonjun looks especially good today, the clean cut look and Soobin does too.

He was surprised to find Soobin dressed like that, the man was attractive and Kai was a mere human being.

He was intimidated by the two dressed men, while he lounged around in his sneakers and sweatshirt fidgeting like a high school girl.

"Oh hey Kai!" Beomgyu enters the room totally ignoring the other two as if it was an everyday occurrence or maybe it was, Kai wouldn't know.

"Holiday?" He asks, "Nope night shift, and the kids have a field trip so no classes" He explains and Beomgyu hums popping a soda can and throwing him one.

He finally acknowledges the other two giants and scoffs, "What are you going about now?" No one listens to him, Beomgyu is enraged.

Kai muffles a laugh and pats him slowly and then when looks at the other two they are staring directly at him and he flinches slightly.

Well fuck.

"Who do you think is the best dressed?" Beomgyu groans out aloud at that.

"Don't you think I pulled Soobin's style effortlessly while he looks like Ursula has misplaced her priorities of being evil" Yeonjun shrieks with eyes wide and thick lips pouting, he looks sulky and Kai is endeared even if his brain reminds that Yeonjun stayed silent while he got bullied.

"Seriously fuck you? And I pull off your style way better. You looks like an bleached and ironed lemon." Soobin growls glaring at the shorter male.

"Not this again" Beomgyu drawls out and Taehyun pops in with a wicked smile and looks at him, mirth in those big eyes and Kai immediately feels uneasy.

"Why don't you ask Kai? New and fresh opinions you will be able to get" He grins like the satan he is and pulls Beomgyu away who whines in protest wanting to see the unfolding drama before his eyes.

They both turn towards him and Kai is lost. They both look good, one is his former crush and the other is someone he considers really attractive. Fuck Taehyun for putting him in such a difficult spot.

"Uhm, both of you dressed really well, I think the style your sport is the vibe you carry, the change is nice of course and yes it looks good on both of you, however you can vibe with what you have and wear what makes you comfortable and confident." Kai cringes at the long lecture, Jeez he sounds like his dad.

Soobin and Yeonjun look at him with wide eyes, and he gulps. Great he should have just picked someone and ran out of the room but oh well what is done and embarrassment is killing Kai.

"Well that was deep, never took you for a deep person" Yeonjun says and Kai flinches the high school memories flooding him.

"Oh looks like I am needed there, Beomgyu and Taehyun are arguing again" Soobin announces and walks away, Kai looks down biting his lips. Great now he just painted himself as some boring person.

The mocking ring clearly in his ears and he clenches his fists tight. "Hey there you ok?" Oh right Yeonjun is still here. But why? shouldn't he have left by now?

"Yeah I am" He replies, taking a huge gulp of air and straightening up. He looks Yeonjun directly in the eye and Yeonjun seems a little unnerved by the fierce stare he is given.

Huening Kai softens a little at that. Damn his heart for holding a soft spot for Yeonjun still, even if the guy was an asshole.

"I am sorry" he mutters lowering his head, being around Yeonjun always brings a little part of his persona in high school and its only the essence present since Huening Kai has changed now.

He isn't insecure or self doubting anymore of course. But his crush on Yeonjun does spring up though stealing his confident persona and make him jittery.

He can't deny it how much ever he wants to, Yeonjun has gotten more handsome, charming and his manners well.

Kai doesn't know if that has changed, does he stand for people now? or like before just stay quiet fearing he would lose his image.

"You are zoning out a lot love, are you ok?" The nickname slips off as easily as Kai blushes. Of course the flirty nature remains. "I am ok" He grins and Yeonjun beams back in return. "So can we be friends now?" Yeonjun asks with a hopeful smile and Kai blinks for a second, "please" Yeonjun adds giving him puppy eyes and darn him.

Kai slowly nods and Yeonjun chuckles and hugs him, "There we go! now I will teach you how to annoy Beomgyu just by breathing"

They hear a groan from the mentioned male at that.
