They still have an hour left, with the five keys already found they are left with still two keys yet to be found. The third keys was found due to Kai using his brain once again with the blank paper.
It wasn't actually blank, it had invisible ink on it. Courtesy of the oil lamps in the room, set up probably to give the Egyptian feel helped them this time.
They again encountered a riddle in it and Kai had again solved it, revealing the location of the third key. This took them approximately seven minutes. The fourth key honor would go to Yeonjun, he managed to decipher the hidden code in the photo frame and then him being more versed in symbols Korean helped him.
It was a Korean language pun and he had solved it like a charm acquiring the fourth key.
The fifth key, they both had a part to play in that somehow. They had to deal with a mirror in the round. Kai had given them the start for the puzzle and then Yeonjun had completed the crossword which had the mirror opening and a golden key with a small wood piece waiting for them.
It had splashes of gold semicircle, alternated with the blue stripes. They take the piece and the key out.
Huening Kai rushes with the key, Yeonjun is left to ponder on the piece by himself. He is also not able to focus properly, the discomfort on Kai's face was something he did not want to be cause of.
It kinda hurt him that Kai was actually that repulsed by him, but it was understandable that. He was such a jerk and quite honestly he knows he deserves the kind of treatment yet he doesn't like the ugly feeling settling in the pit of his stomach.
The truth is he always liked Huening Kai, and it wasn't the cliché first sight attraction, no. It was simply a fleeting glance at first and then he started to notice the extremely kind boy.
He always got used for that kindness and this obviously this made Yeonjun mad.
Kai was just so small and naïve that all Yeonjun wanted to do is bundle the boy and keep him away from the evil of the world, protect him and always shower him with love he knows Kai deserves.
That's exactly Yeonjun wanted to do, but then that did not go as expected. Despite being popular and feared in the school, talking behind his back began. All his own friends were in that category, mocking and making fun of him for protecting the boy.
He did not mind at first but later it got to him, his stupid ego as huge as his own self, prompted him to stop caring about the boy. Even if it wasn't his fault.
There were days when Yeonjun would observe the boy from afar, smiling fondly as his junior proved to be amazing.
The boy was simply so humble, kind and smart that Yeonjun couldn't resist falling deeper for.
It was when he left the school, letting himself steal a glance at the boy and his sparkling chocolate eyes glazed over with such innocence, he realized that he was in love with Huening Kai. The loner of the school as they named it, but he felt no one was worthy of being his friend.
"Yeonjun, we have only 3 minutes remaining and we are still short on two keys" Huening Kai's panicked voice helped him snap out of it.
"Coming!" He shouted, letting his mind sway back to the puzzle they were supposed to solve. It wasn't long before Kai realized that the strewn wood blocks were actually a jigsaw puzzle to be put together. Judging the painted pieces, it will probably be a Pharaoh.
It took them twenty minutes to push the blocks and put them in order to obtain the image, conversation was somewhat tense with Kai barely glancing at him, simply barking orders or complying to Yeonjun's own orders.
