Yeonjun excitedly bounces on the bed, he just hit a jackpot. Not only is he going to be courting Kai but also he got accepted in the company and He was delighted.
He also plans to treat his friends to a meal and buy himself some clothes. After all the competition they signed up is going to be on Jeju island and Yeonjun is determined to win.
He also has to make sure that Kai and him are on the same page, so he plans a shopping date for them to familiarize.
"hello Losers! Guess who scored the job?" He dashes into the pizzeria which is yet to be opened, Beomgyu and Taehyun are standing near the counter and Soobin is drinking some water, but as he announces the fact.
Soobin widens his eyes and Beomgyu beams and runs to engulf him in a huge hug and Taehyun also grins happily. "I am so happy for you hyung!" Beomgyu squeals and Taehyun shrieks out a congratulations and a treat out aloud and after Beomgyu released him Taehyun too hugs him tight.
Soobin comes up to him last and pats his shoulder, "Congrats Yeonjun" He says with a small smile.
"Thanks but don't cry while missing me ok?" He taunts and Soobin guffaws like a pig or at least in Yeonjun's opinion.
"Please,I can have some peace at the shop. Finally it was about time though" He snorts and Yeonjun rolls his eyes and however in an instant they are back at who is the best and Taehyun and Beomgyu only leave them alone.
They are a lost cause and no one can do anything about the bickering duo.
"Hyung, did you even brush your hair? It looks like you ran a marathon" Taehyun scolds gently, turning Beomgyu to face and running his fingers through the soft hair, the taller blushes at the proximity but a wave of boldness crashes over and he loops his arms around Taehyun.
"Why don't you fix it for me baby?" He draws the flushed male closer. Taehyun sputters and looks everywhere but Beomgyu's eyes.
"W-what are you doing hyung?" Taehyun stutters and looks elsewhere. "Not so cocky are we now baby" Beomgyu chuckles using his Daegu accent and the centimeter difference to his advantage. Taehyun shudders a little finally meeting his eyes.
He gasps lightly seeing the determination blazing in the other's eyes, "Hyung" Taehyun whines a little and Beomgyu joins their foreheads together, but at the right moment the door chimes and they both practically fly off each other.
Kai looks at them both with eyebrows almost touching his hairline.
"Mind telling me what was happening moments ago?" Huening Kai starts slowly, cautiously glancing between the two males who refuse to look at him in the eye.
Soobin and Yeonjun barge out of the manager room at the same time and freeze at the tense atmosphere. Beomgyu lifts his head up and throws a look at Kai, it reads 'I'll tell you later please don't expose me in front of those two idiots' He stifles a laugh at that and nods.
"Hello Soobin ssi" He greets the frozen male who soon snaps out of it and gives him a dimpled smile and god he looks so precious when his eyes crinkle up like that with the dimples appearing.
"Hi!" he beams in return. He turns to Yeonjun and finds a judgmental glare directed towards him. "Kai ssi, hello I am here too in case you missed" The tone is too sweet and Kai cringes. The guy cannot be any more obvious.
"Yes I did not forget, Yeonjun ssi." He laughs that awkward deep laugh of his and his brain plots for murder when he sees the two hellish men snickering at him.
He is not going to live the situation he walked into down as Karma, so he raises an eyebrow at Taehyun who is almost red laughing behind his hand and the boy stops before shaking his head vigorously muttering a string of apologies.
He turns to Soobin once again and begins a small conversation as the other three fall into a subject naturally, he learns that Yeonjun secured a job as a marketing engineer and is quitting soon, he smiles apologetically at Soobin but he waves away good naturedly.
Yeonjun pops in their conversation when he hears his name being called.
"Congrats Yeonjun" Its an honest statement with a genuine smile, but Yoenjun melts at how adorable it is, the sunny grin with his eyes crinkling and he decides that he hasn't seen something so beautiful ever before.
He also realizes that he would love to make Kai smile all the time like that if he could.
However the peace doesn't last long, the shop is opened and they start getting orders and few customers pile in.
Soobin disappears into his room and Taehyun takes up the role of the chef again while Beomgyu starts setting the deliveries up.
The other employees set out to work with them, Yeonjun resigns his position and Soobin puts up the vacancy online for employees.
Huening Kai is then whisked away by Yeonjun outside where they hail a cab, and Kai doesn't know where they are going.
Yeonjun must have noticed his confusion because he replies, "We have to register ourselves remember and also we have to pick some couple outfits or at least jewelry to look the part."
Kai doesn't think its necessary but he lets Yeonjun what he wants, after all he plays in the field so he will have Yeonjun have control of trivial things.
At last they end up buying some beach shirts, with a simple you and me in calligraphy and also matching earrings. Yeonjun takes the black incomplete cake and Kai picks silver fork and spoon earring. They decide that they are a foodie couple given both like to eat.
"Just to be sure, no feelings attached right?" Yeonjun asks him in front of his house, Kai turns and gives him a pained smile "of course not" He gets a grin in return and cheek kiss, "It's practice! get ready for the day after"
With a cheeky grin the obnoxiously blue haired male leaves Kai with a hammering heart and sweaty hands.
Damn his heart and pretty Yeonjun.
