We got into his car and he drove us to the nearest ice cream shop. To say I liked ice cream would be an understatement, I loved it with all my heart. I hadn't had good ice cream in so long so I was extremely excited, sounds kinda stupid but it's true.
We pulled up outside of the ice cream shop and just seeing the big tubs of ice cream got me excited. I sprung out of my seat so fast that I forgot I still had my seatbelt on. Vinnie burst out laughing as I was dragged back down onto the seat by the seatbelt. "You really like ice cream that much, huh?" I glared at him which only made him laugh harder. We both got out of the car, remembering to take our seatbelts off this time and walked into the shop. there weren't many people so we walked straight up to the glass and looked at the different flavours. I looked up and saw the girl behind the counter standing pretty much frozen in place. Another worker came over and froze up next to her. "That's Vinnie Hacker!" I heard one of them say. I laughed to myself at their reaction. it was funny seeing how different people reacted when they saw Vinnie, that's if they knew him of course. "What are you laughing at?" Vinnie asked, looking confused and amused at the same time. "I think you've got a few admirers," I replied. He looked up and saw the two girls. I think they froze even more. I didn't even think that was possible. Vinnie waved and one of the girls let out a high pitched shrill.
"Oh, wow, I didn't think it was humanly possible to make that noise," I laughed, Vinnie joining in with me. I already had my flavours of ice cream before we even got into the shop I was mainly looking for future reference. "Do you know what you want?" I asked Vinnie. He nodded and ordered his ice cream, cookies and cream and vanilla bean. A rather elementary choice if you ask me... no I'm kidding they're not bad flavours, cookies and cream is actually really good, one of my favourites. I ordered dark chocolate and raspberry just because I was feeling like a 40-year-old mum today.
We sat down and immediately my phone started ringing, which was unusual because pretty much the only person that calls me is Vinnie and he's sitting in front of me. I clumsily pulled out my phone from my pocket one-handed and placed it on the table so I could get a better grip on it. I saw Jess's name appear on the screen asking me to accept or decline her facetime call. "Sorry, one second," I told Vinnie, looking up at him. He shook his head signifying it was ok and I answered the call.
"Hey, Bestie!" Jess's voice rang out into the open space. "Hey, Babe," I said, replying to the small part of her face that I could actually see in the darkness. "Don't call me babe," Jess said, dead serious, over the phone. she had absolutely no expression on her face showing that she could be joking. "But you always call me babe," I retorted. She rolled her eyes and looked me straight in the eyes, through the phone. "That's because that's my thing," she riposted.
"Fine dumbass," I said, rolling my eyes. Her face lit up and a smile appeared on her face. "There we go, back to normal," she said, earning another roll of the eyes from me. Vinnie laughed from across from me, immediately catching Jess's attention. "Are you with a boy? Do you have a boyfriend? What's his name? can I meet him?" I was bombarded with questions about the tattooed boy sitting in front of me. Jess is a very curious person. She's also boy obsessed so when you mix the two together you get this; bombarding of questions and assumptions. "Yes, I'm with a boy. No, he's not my boyfriend and you know him, well, you know of him apparently," I said, trying to answer as many of the questions that I could remember. "Oh! My! God! You're with Vinnie, aren't you? You guys should date!" she started. My face went as red as the ballon from IT and Vinnie was cracking up across from me, he apparently found this hilarious. "You know, I'm pretty much psychic because I'm a Gemini and I just know you two are gonna end up together at some point. You two would be a cute couple," she kept rambling on and on and on so I decided to end the call. "Ok, yeah, thanks for your input," I started. "What! don't hang up on me! You're gonna hang up on me, aren't you?" And with that and a final goodbye, I hung up.
"I like her, she's quite the character," Vinnie said, still laughing his ass off. I love Jess with all my heart but god she can be embarrassing sometimes. "She really is," I laughed back. Vinnie calmed down a bit and looked up at me. "You should have seen how red your face went," he chuckled. I rolled my eyes, trying to play it off as nothing. "I mean, I don't blame you. I'd go red at thought of dating me too," he joked. he definitely has a habit of being cocky as a joke. "Ha ha," I said sarcastically, pushing his arm lightly and rolling my eyes.
We finished up our ice cream and then got in the car and Vinnie drove me back to my place. He was going to go check out a warehouse to store his cars in because there isn't enough space at the Hype house for them and it just so happened that he would have passed my apartment on the way. I really hope he shows me his cars one day, maybe not today though it has been a bit of a roller coaster.
