I woke up the next morning in Vinnie's arms and smiled to myself. I looked in the mirror doors of my wardrobe in front of me and saw Vinnie's head squished into the side of my neck. I watched as a small part of his hair that was hanging in his face moved up and down slightly as he breathed in and out and how his eyes screwed tighter each time he moved his head slightly. The sound of my phone ringing blared through my room and I answered it, immediately telling Jess to be quiet. "Why do I need to be quiet?" she asked, confused. I moved the phone slightly to show Vinnie's sleeping face. "You two are getting awfully comfortable with each other, are you sure there isn't anything going on between you two?" she asked. I felt my cheeks heat up slightly and looked down at Vinnie's arm draped over my side. "Oh! My! God! What happened? Tell me everything!" she squealed quietly. "We might have kissed," I said shyly, shoving my face into the pillow. "A few times actually," Vinnie piped up, surprising me.
I saw my face get about 80 shades darker in the camera as Jess squealed and Vinnie gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and whispered good morning. He got up and walked into the kitchen. I watched as he walked past, shirtless and in black sweat pants that hung low on his waist. "You look like you could combust right there," Jess laughed. "Oh, shut up!" I exclaimed, rolling my eyes, "Anyway, why'd you call?" I asked. "You really want to get rid of me that quick?" she said, mock offended. "No, you know I miss you," I said, rolling my eyes slightly. "I wanted to see how you were going with the whole Vinnie situation especially after your last text but I see that's all going good," She smiled. Yesterday when Vinnie and I had our misunderstanding about the kiss I texted Jess telling her that the whole Vinnie situation was a bust. "Yeah, it's going good. The whole thing yesterday was just a misunderstanding and we're good. I told him about Jake too," I informed. "You told him about Jake?! Oh my god! you really like him don't you?" she asked. I looked out my bedroom door and saw Vinnie in the kitchen and nodded as I watched him fiddling with something. Jess let out a squeal and I saw a smile appear on Vinnie's face and he looked up, making eye contact with me. I smiled at him and he smiled back.
Vinnie came back in the bedroom handing me a mug of hot chocolate, which I was grateful for because it was unusually cold in LA right now and hopped back in bed. Jess and I talked for another half an hour before she had to go. I put my phone on the nightstand and Vinnie pulled me over to him, turning me so that I faced him. We locked eyes and stayed like that for about a minute before Vinnie's eyes flicked down to my lips and the next thing I knew our lips were connected. I smiled into the kiss realising how ridiculous our whole relationship was. I laughed slightly and Vinnie pulled back, smiling at me, "What?" he asked. "Everything about this, whatever it is, is just so ridiculous. If I hadn't ran into you and my skateboard not broken, we probably wouldn't be here right now," I laughed lightly.
"Yeah, I'm glad you have terrible reflexes," Vinnie laughed, causing me to shove his shoulder slightly. We stayed in spot just looking at each other for a minute or so. "We need to talk about whatever this is, don't we?" Vinnie asked after a bit, falling onto his back. I mimicked his actions and fell onto my back, "Yeah, we do," I replied. "Well, I want you to be my girlfriend," Vinnie said, causing a large smile to appear on my face. "But," he continued, "I don't want you to be my girlfriend yet," the smile left my face and I turned my head to face him. I want to be his girlfriend now, I don't know if I can last much longer in this in-between stage. "What do you mean?" I asked, confused. " I don't want you to be my girlfriend until I take you out properly, on a date then I can officially call you mine," Vinnie said, turning his head to look at me. The smile reappeared on my face, "I want to be your girlfriend too but what about your fans and all that? what do we say to them?" I asked. I picked Vinnie's hand up off the bed and fiddled with his rings just like I did yesterday. "I don't want to tell them anything just yet. I want us to be able to enjoy this for a bit by ourselves. I know that there will be some people coming in and trying to ruin things between us and I don't want that yet," Vinnie said.
"Yeah, I don't want that either. So, when are you gonna take me out then?" I asked. "Is tonight too soon?" He asked. A smile grew on my face knowing that he wanted me to be his girlfriend already. "Someone's eager, arent they?" I joked. "Well, if you weren't so god damn perfect I wouldn't have to be," Vinnie said, kissing my cheek. I turned and grabbed his face and planted a kiss directly onto his lips. "Where are you gonna take me then?" I asked. Vinnie moved up the bed slightly leaning against the headboard and pulled me to him, making me rest my head on his chest. "I was thinking Boa steakhouse," Vinnie said, looking down at me. My jaw immediately dropped, "Isn't that super expensive and hard to get into?" I questioned. Vinnie nodded his head, "I booked about a month ago when we first met. It was gonna be a sort of welcome to LA dinner but I think this is better."
"We can be like Meghan Fox and mgk except not quite as iconic... But I also don't know how I can afford even an entré there," I huffed. "That's why I'm paying dummy. I had no intention of making you spend a cent," Vinnie smiled. "You have to let me pay for something at some point," i said in a stern tone, earning a nod.
