Chapter 23

"Hemmings! I'm going to kill you!" Hailey yelled as she ran past my bedroom. It's to early for this shit. I looked at the clock, 6:00 am.

I tried to fall back asleep but I couldn't. damn it Hailey and Luke! I got out of bed and changed quickly. Michael wasn't in bed but there was a note on his pillow.

Joey,

I'll be back later, I'm checking out your surprise. love you, don't kill Rose or Demi while I'm gone.

I smiled and put the note back down. then I went down stairs to see what was happening.

"Luke! Give me my fucking cloths back!" Hailey yelled.

I walked into the kitchen and found Hailey running after Luke in only a towel. I rolled my eyes and went to the cabinet to get the cereal.

Once I sat down and turned on the tv there was a knock on the door. Rose was up by now and she went to the door. I heard her scream and came running, or waddling.

"What happened?" I asked. When I came to the door.

I seen that Rose had spider monkeyed a girl and they both were squealing. Behind them stood a man and two children. The older of the two was a girl, around 1 or 2, and the man was holding an infant.

Rose jumped down and I seen a face I haven't seen since graduation. It was Rebekah, she was Rose's best friend before she met me. When she met me we all became friends.

"Joey! Omg it's been forever! You look so beautiful" She yelled. Rose must still keep in contact with her. Rebekah pulled me into a tight hug and squealed again.

"Damn, did you become a pig while you were gone?" I asked.

"You still have the same seance of humor," she said laughing. "Oh! This is my husband Trevor, my daughter Kameron, and my son Dawson."

"Oh show her the ring!" Rose squealed. Rebekah held out her left hand and showed me her ring. it was absolutely breath taking.

"So my name isn't Rebekah Miler anymore, it's Rebekah Moran." she said smiling.

"Let's go inside." I said opening the door more. Everyone gathered and sat in the living room.

Kameron came up to Rose and sat on her lap. They played as Trevor, Rebekah, and I talked.

Trevor eventually had to leave and he took the kids to daycare. Rebekah stayed and we hung out and talked about random stuff.

Eventually Demi came down and looked like she just woke up. Hailey finally got her cloths back and came down to visit with us. We all laughed and messed around.

Michael came home late after Rebekah left. He was smiling and everything.

"Why are you so jolly?" I asked.

"Nothing, you will find out soon." he said as he leaned down and kissed my head.

"Oh, before I forget. Tomorrow the girls and I are going to go shopping with our old friend Rebekah. We will be gone for awhile." I said.

"Ok I'll be busy again tomorrow too."

I yawned and stretched. "well I'm going to bed." I said as I stood up.

I began to make my way up the steps. Michael was following behind me.

***around 2:00am***

*thud*

"Crap." Someone groaned.

I sat up in bed and looked towards the door. Michael was getting up from the floor.

"Babe, what are you doing?" I asked rubbing my eyes.

"I'm...going to the bathroom," He said pausing for a second. "Just go back to sleep."

I nodded and laid back down. Why is he acting so weird?

***later that morning***

I woke up and rolled over expecting to find Michael, but he wasn't there. Honestly I don't even think he came back.

That's weird. I went down stairs and seen Michael on the couch, with his feet on the table, and his laptop next to him. He was out, like snoring and everything.

I'll let him sleep, then later I'll interrogate him. I grabbed the blanket off the back of the couch and covered him up. After I kissed his forehead and went to the kitchen.

He is up to something and I'll figure it out sooner or later.
