Chapter 27

***Michael's POV***

I've been sitting outside Joey's room for awhile now. It doesn't matter how long I sit here, I'm going to wait till I can see her. It's about 6:00 am now, hopefully I can see her soon.

"Sir, you can go in but she is still sleeping. She is ok and so are her babies, but we are going to be keeping her for a couple more days just to make shore she is ok." The nurse said.

I stood up and quietly went into the room. Joey was laying on the bed, a sleep. Her face was bruised on her cheeks, she had a black eye, and her lip was split.

Just seeing her like this infuriated me. I sat down in the chair and looked at her. Her chest was rising and falling at a normal pace. I'm never going to let anyone ever get a chance to hurt her again. I love her too much.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine." I sang softly.

"You make me happy when sky's are gray." I took Joey's small hand.

"You'll never know how much I love you." I said kissing the back of her hand.

*ring*

I quickly pulled my phone out of my pocket to answer it.

"Hello?" I asked.

"How's Joey?" Luke asked.

"They said she was doing good but they are going to keep her for a couple more days, just to be shore." I said looking back over to Joey.

"Ok, but what are you going to do since we have to leave tomorrow?"

"I'm not leaving till I know she is ok. the fans will understand that I have to be here for her."

"We weren't expecting you to leave. Trust me, you don't want to leave because Hailey told me what she was going to do to you if you left Joey in this state."

"I don't want to know." I said leaning back in my chair.

"Good, I feel like I should wash my mouth out if I repeat it," Luke was cut off by a loud crash. Luke groaned, "I have to go, we all will be up later when Joey wakes up-" there was another thud. "Calum, you dumb ass! Bye Michael." after that he hung up.

I pushed my phone back in my pocket and looked back over at Joey. Her bruised, but beautiful, face looked pale under the light.

The more I looked at her, the more I thought about our past. all the good things, all the happy times, everything.

*flash back*

"Get the hell away from me!" Joey yelled as she slammed the door shut. Tears stained her cheeks.

Ashton stood up and raced over to her. She hugged her brother and his her head in his shirt.

"Shh...," He tried to sooth his sister. "it's going to be ok." Ashton cooed as he rubbed her back.

I stood up from the couch and stepped towards them. Joey's eyes locked with mine and she let go of Ashton. She ran right into my arms and cried.

Ashton gave me a look and exited the room. The look told me he was leaving the room.

"What's wrong?" I asked Joey, who was only 14 and tiny because she hadn't had her growth spurt.

"D-Dorian cheated on me." she stuttered as she cried.

"It's going to be ok." I said as I rubbed her back.

We stood there for God knows how long. She needed me and I wasn't going anywhere.

She was my heartbreak girl.

*next flash back*
*Joey age 16*

"Come on Joey! You look fine!" Rose yelled as she tried pushing Joey out of her room.

"Unhand me you foul beast!" She hollered back.

"Joey, just come down stairs! We are waiting!" Demi yelled from the bottom of the steps.

"Ah! She won't let go! Hailey, Demi, back up!" Rose yelled.

Demi and Hailey bolted up the steps. Ashton looked over at me and rolled his eyes. Right now the girls are getting ready for the back to school dance and we are playing video games.

"Ouch!! Do I have to wear these?"

"Shut up!"

"No you!"

"Can we go already?"

"Beauty hurts! Deal with it!"

"I'm hungry!"

"Your hungry, my feet hurt. I guess we both have a problem."

"Bitch."

"Hey, that was my hair!"

"Don't you dare, I'll never forgive you!"

"But I just did."

"I hate you guys!"

"But you love us."

"Why am I so hungry? I suddenly want another sandwich."

"But that would be your 3rd one!"

"Oh god, you guys are idiots!"

"Look up why you have a craving!"

"Omg I just did! I think I'm pregnant!"

"I knew it!"

"Who is the father!?"

"The father is spongebob! We all know it!"

"You guys are fucking idiots!"

The last part had me and Ashton giving each other a weird look. This group of girls is one of a kind, that's for shore.

I couldn't tell who was saying what, all I know is that they were all yelling really loud. Soon a very happy Rose and Demi appeared at the bottom of the steps. Hailey followed behind them looking just as happy.

Then a very pissed off Joey was at the bottom of the steps. She was wearing a midnight blue dress that looked breathtaking on her.

"You look good sis," Ashton said smiling. "Michael, don't you think the same?" He asked smirking.

"Oh hell yah." I said smiling.

A dark red blush appeared on her cheeks. That's when I knew that Joey Irwin was out of my limit.

*end of flash backs*

I smiled at the last memory. They definitely are one of a kind.
