I look around the room when I open my eyes, then I turn to look at Xavier and smile wide. I start jumping up and down on the desk chair.

“I can see! I can see!” I exclaim. Then I jump into Xavier’s arms making us tumble to the floor. “Sorry.” I say laughing.

“Don’t be, you have every right to be happy.”

I stand up and then we go down the stairs, I look around at everything.

“Wow, no wonder why people always thought I was faking it, sheesh if I saw someone who’s blind walk around without needing any help, I’d think that too.”

We step out on the back patio and the sun is blindingly bright, so bright it makes my eyes water. Finally, when my eyes adjust, I see, an older woman, a woman who isn’t much older than me, a little girl, and an older man who looks like Xavier.

Xavier has black hair, but his hair goes down to his shoulders, he is taller than I expected, I come up to about his chin. He has tanned skin, you’d think he came from California or someplace with a lot of sun instead of Spokane, Washington.

“I can see!” I exclaim excitedly again. Making Xavier laugh. “Shut up, if you haven’t seen anything since you were born you’d be excited too.”

The little girl, who I presume is Amie, looks me over and then comes running into my legs. Almost causing me to fall, but I catch myself before I do. Yep this is Amie.

I look her over, she has beautiful chestnut golden brown hair that goes down to her waist. She has the deepest blue eyes, Xavier has as well and that I’ve ever seen. Granted, I haven’t seen eye colors ever, but still. She has soft features. She has a cute blue and white dress on, with black, red and white Harley Quinn tights.

I look at the others and they are all watching me.

“You have pretty eyes.” Destiny says. Amie is a spitting image of her mother.

“Thanks.”

“Ah, you started without me.” Mom says.

I turn to look at her and man my mom is hot. From one of the mirrors that I have passed on my way down here. I saw that I am just as hot, but we look nothing alike, no wonder people knew she wasn't my mother. Nobody knows that she is my stepmother, except for Xavier. I told him during one of our many long talks as we laid in bed.

“Sorry, got a bit excited.” I say.

“Its fine, bet you’re having a blast.”

I nod my head. I turn to look at some girl who is coming over here, she waves at Xavier and then she notices me, and stops dead in her tracks.

“You don’t have the bandages on anymore.” She says nasally.

Ah, this is what Cloe looks like. Dyed blond hair, wearing way too much makeup, and kind of has a big nose, no wonder she had a nose job.

“Yeah.” I say bitterly, still not liking her, I think I hate her even more.

“Whatever,” she looks at Xavier with a sickening sweet smile. “I was wondering if you could come over and help me with something.”

“Depends on what it is I’m helping you with.”

“My pool got plugged and won’t fill up.”

Even though I can finally see. I am still good at knowing if someone is lying or not.

“You’re lying, there’s nothing wrong."

She glares at me. Wow, she is a bitch, I can’t believe Xavier is even friends with her.
