"Kadavul setting la?" Sivaangi remarked as she stared out the plane window.

Binni frowned at her question.

"Puriyala Sivu, enna setting?"

Sivaangi stammered, realizing she had spoken her mind voice out loud.

She was referring to the fact that neither her or Ashwin were in Chennai, but still quite close to each other. His shooting schedule had wrapped early, so he'd went home to Coimbatore for rest. Meanwhile she'd suddenly been called for a reshoot in Pollachi.

It had been two weeks since that moment in Ashwin's kitchen, and she still wasn't over the way he had looked at her. That desire in his eyes was her little secret, something that made her blush to even think about. It turned her to how she was when she first met him, cherishing and dreaming about anything related with him.

"Uh, onnum illai. Just me blabbering."

She yawned.

"Seri ma ennaku thookam varuthu, I'm going to sleep for a bit. Wake me up if the flight lands or if I'm snoring too loud, okay?"

Binni chuckled.

"Thoongarithilai irru."

Ashwin sighed in content, his head resting comfortably on his mother's lap. It was such a secure place to him, it was home.

He rarely got to spend time with his family, and was grateful that his schedule had finished early. He needed a break from the hustle and bustle of Chennai and the many complications that existed there.

"Kavya va miss pandriya? If she was in Chennai you would have never spend your break with us, huh?"Geetha teased.

Ashwin gulped. He hadn't talked to or even thought about her in weeks. There was really only one girl from that city always on his mind.

"Apdi la illa ma, ungala romba miss pannen. I was waiting for the chance to be back here."

"Nambitom, nambitom."

He shifted.

"Amma.. why didn't you tell me how rich Kavya's family is? I was shocked when I met her parents."

"Shock ah?"

"I mean Ambani level maara irrukanga."

Geetha laughed.

"Ashwin, nee oru star. Satharnamana match la varathu pa. Do you not know your range?"

He shrugged.

"Ungalukku theriyum I don't have much interest in status or wealth."

"Simple girls would have a hard time handling you and your lifestyle. It's hard for us as it is, it would be impossible for the average girl to fit in. Kavya is already used to that life, she is able to understand you perfectly."

She is able to understand you perfectly.

Why did it never feel like she did?

He had no idea how to explain his differences with Kavya to his mother. Their break was a taboo subject, but he wanted to atleast share his doubts. They weren't really a family who discussed their problems deeply, never delved into feelings. Most of the time they kept their worries all to themselves.
