Light Yagami was infamous for his 'stoic' demeanour. Nothing gets past him and he was a hard man to be taken off guard. Birthdays often become a rather stressful event for his peers whose only wish was to surprise him. The man always figures it out way ahead of time, thus ruining the part altogether. It was useless to plan anything outside of his knowledge, as it is inevitable to be unraveled.

That principle does not apply for today, however...

Light was forced out of his slumber when two nurses walked into his room; one pushing a stroller consisting of his breakfast (presumably. Hopefully) while the other simply handed him a uniform to put on. It was the usual office-like attire with dark slacks, white button-ups, and a single tie; nothing too ominous nor seemingly out of place. A simple clothing that attracts no one.

"Please get ready within 1 hour", one of them requested him, "Today is your orientation day. By 9:30, someone will get you and your sister and bring you to the lobby, where everyone else would be", she explained, before clearing her throat, "The first year, I mean".

Light simply nodded, not wanting to press any further. Although there was a hint of disgust in her voice, he'd rather not point anything about it. Naomi had explained that, although the Devil unit seem to do most of the work, there are still discriminations against them since the stereotype. So dealing with doucebags like these is very much expected, and is often advised to get used to.

Without haste, Light got up and approached the shower— since this morning seems a bit new, he'd rather not indulge himself and instead took 20 minutes to freshen up. He queue to his usual grooming routine; combing his hair thoroughly and making himself looked presentable as possible, his shirts tucked into his pants and his tie are tied neatly on his collar.

By the time he was done, Sayu is by his door with Naomi, dressed almost as modest as he was, sparring that she had a yellow hoodie on.

"Good morning, Light".

"Morning, bro!!".

"Good morning, Naomi-san, Sayu", he bowed politely at the woman before him, showing his respect to what he recognised as an authoroty figure. Naomi simply smile before apologizing, "I am so sorry today is a bit off schedule, but we sort of need to get the formality over with. I hope you don't mind?".

"No... Not at all", he claims, waving his hand. "Though it did catch me off guard a bit", he smiles sheepishly. Naomi chuckles at his rather adorable antiques. The three walked in silence when Sayu decided to break the tension.

"Hey, Naomi-san", pique Sayu, "Are there more people like us?".

"Like me, you mean", Light mentally corrected her, but never voiced it out to spare some feelings.

Naomi glanced at her before answering, "If you mean by Devilised and healed, I'd say about 3 out of 4 times occurrence. However, not all agree to the terms and conditions of becoming an agent in I.D.P. They'd rather much die than becoming one of us".

Light gaped— "What is the Orientation for?".

"Orientations are a formality to introduce the newcomers", she explained briefly, "However, we were unable to organize such event since the number of Devil recruitments has been reduced so much that it seems not worth it. Now that L is available, and the Devil recruitments are... okay... we figure to give you a heads up so that you can start your duty without hitch".

"Just— some of them have been here longer, so please do expect nasty comments".

And that was that.

Both Light and Sayu were taken to the, presumably lobby floor when Naomi excused herself. There, he spotted three more people idly chatting with each other and seems to not acknowledge neither of their existence. There was a blonde, an albino, and a raven; each with their own unique character and features.
