The sun shined brightly on Tara's face as she lay in bed, curled up into foetal position. Both her hands were between her knees as if she was trying to protect herself. Her eyes open as she stared into space, not even batting because of the sun. She hadn't moved at all since Mycroft placed her on the bed. She didn't sleep. She didn't eat or drink. Mycroft couldn't force her to eat or drink.

'Good morning, dear. I brought you breakfast.' Mycroft said as he came into the bedroom with a plate of waffles topped with raspberries and maple syrup, and some pomegranate juice. He knew she liked that and that would probably convince her to eat but she didn't even blink. 'Tara, I know this is hard for you but you need to eat something even if you are not hungry.' She continued to stare into space so, he placed her breakfast on the night table and sat beside her. She looked like she could sink into the bed. He caressed her face and pushed the hair out of her face. She was scaring him. She hadn't spoken a word after she told him about her rape. He was terrified of even leaving her alone. It had been almost 24 hours since then. This had happened before. If she continued this way, she would most certainly have another psychotic breakdown. He knew he had to take matters into his own hands. He called in Mrs. Green to come in and watch her while he went outside and called John and Sherlock. He didn't explain everything to them on the phone just asked John to bring everything he needed to hook her up to fluids. Sherlock and John couldn't find a babysitter at such short notice so they just brought Rosie with them. When Mycroft saw Rosie with them, he mentally slapped himself for not being clear about the situation. This was no place for a child. No child should be in such an environment, definitely not a little girl who had always adored Tara like a mother. She shouldn't see that woman in the state she was in. He asked Mrs. Green to watch Rosie in the study as he explained the situation to John and Sherlock. While Sherlock was perfectly composed, John was raging with anger. He cared for Tara like a little sister. She had been there for Rosie more than Harry ever was. It pained him to think a good soul like Tara had been hurt in such a way. Sherlock had managed to talk the doctor down so he could treat her.

'Do I have to do this? Did you try to get her to at least drink some water?'

'No' Mycroft shook his head in defeat. Sherlock had never seen his brother look so broken and defeated before.

'Let me try to talk to her' John insisted.

'Fine' Mycroft said and guided the doctor to the master bedroom.

John came in and looked at Tara. She hadn't moved at all. She lay in the same position. He controlled his emotions and went to face her. He placed the IV bags on the nightstand and sat beside her.

'Hey Tara' he said and waited for her to respond. When there was none, he spoke again 'Tara please talk to us. Let us help you. I know none of us can even imagine the pain you are in but please let us help you' he desperately waited for her to respond 'At least eat and drink something and get some rest.' He tried again but nothing. Absolutely nothing. Mycroft watched as the doctor desperately tried to get his partner to talk.

John brought his torch out of his pocket and switched it on. Checking her eyes for any response but there was none. Her pulse was stable and SPO2 was normal as well. 'Tara' he whispered and tried again.

He went and brought the IV stand inside, setting it beside her bed.

'I am going to hook you up to fluids. But this is not a permanent solution, you have to eat something' he said as he hooked her up to the IV. She didn't even flinch or acknowledge the pain. He breathed out in defeat and left the room with Mycroft. They entered the hallway where Sherlock waited for them.

'We have to get her to eat something. She can't be on fluids forever. If something doesn't change soon, we're going to have to have her admitted.' John told Mycroft.
