In the dining room of the Rathore Manor, Tara, Mycroft, Shekhar, Kabir and Shakti are having breakfast. A lavish breakfast buffet with plentiful food and drinks set before them
'Leela' Shekhar called.
'Yeah! Coming!' Leela yelled as she coming to the dining room. She comes in and hugs her husband. She winces and pulls away when he kisses her. 'When are you going to shave your beard, Shekhar?' she asked and rubbed her cheek.
'What did my beard ever do to you?' Shekhar asked and caressed his beard proudly.
'It pokes me and I don't like it. That's why I'm asking you to shave. And it's not just that, it makes you look 10 years older than you already are. It's ridiculous' Leela told her husband as she sat down at the table.
Shekhar shrugged 'Just 10 years older. That's okay. I don't care. I think I look good' he said, looking into the mirror, admiring his face.
'Yeah! and who said that?' Leela scoffed with a mouthful of toast.
Shekhar looked back at his wife 'I said, who else? I look at myself in the mirror every day and I think I look damn good in a beard' he grinned
'Dad, don't listen to her. You look great with a beard' Tara chuckled and said just to get on her mother's nerves
Leela rolled her eyes at the two 'No point in me saying anything now. Is there? Do whatever you want but I'll say this. You are not touching me unless you shave that beard' she said poking his chest and pushed him away.
Shekhar laughed and looked at Mycroft 'Mycroft, what are your plans for the day?'
'Have to attend a few conference calls, and go down to the embassy' Mycroft replied as he ate his breakfast.
'Oh! You work all the time, you two are on a vacation, enjoy it. This time will never come back. Say what, Leela is going riding today, why don't you go with her?'
'Oh! I wouldn't want to impose' Mycroft dodged it politely.
'Oh, it's no imposition. Leela will be happy to take you. Won't you darling?' Shekhar grinned and asked his wife.
Leela glared at her husband, then looked at Mycroft and forced a smile 'Of course. Why don't you get ready and Zorawar will show you to the stable' she said and walked out of the dining room.
Tara saw right through her father's set-up and smiled at him. He simply winks in response.
'Tara, may I have a word with you?' Zorawar asked and Tara nodded. Tara walks out of the dining room with Zorawar, leaving Mycroft alone.
......
In Tara and Mycroft's bedroom, the couple is getting dressed. Mycroft is putting on a horse-riding gear while Tara is getting ready, putting on some make-up.
'I don't want to go riding with your mother. She is very scary' he would've never admitted he was scared of someone but he really didn't want to spend an entire day with Leela.
'Maybe you two can have a competition on who is scarier' Tara chirped.
'Not to mention she is also a racist' Mycroft added and looked at his wife, who is a little more formally dressed than usual. She looked like she was going out.
'She is not a racist. She just hates the fact that her daughter married a white man. She would be a racist if you were black or brown' Tara said as she tosses a few things into her handbag.
'I don't think you understand the concept of racism'
At that Tara turned around and looked at her husband 'I am a woman of colour. I understand the concept of racism very well. You're a privileged cis-gender male complaining about racism, that sounds like a joke' she said and wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning up she kissed his nose.
