Shekhar enters Kabir's boutique and sees him fixing a floral arrangement.
'Kabir, how are you doing, my friend?' Shekhar greets him pleasantly.
Kabir turned around and eyed the man suspiciously. 'What do you need?' he asked.
'What makes you think I need something?' Shekhar shrugged innocently.
Kabir cocks his head, 'The only other time I've seen you here was at the opening'.
'You're having the foundation's annual charity gala at the Marriot next week?' Shekhar asked knowingly.
Kabir furrowed his brows and nodded, 'Like every year'.
'I need you to make a few last-minute changes' Shekhar asked.
'No, I know you, Shekhar. And If I'm not wrong, you're planning on using this gala for some kind of spy or political operation. This gala is very important for the foundation, it's a charity and I'm not letting you ruin it' Kabir said and began to walk away.
'It's for, Tara' Shekhar informed.
Kabir turns around and eyes him, 'I'm listening'.
Shekhar shook his head, 'I've already said too much' he couldn't divulge more information without putting Kabir at risk.
'Are you serious?' Kabir was appalled.
'Please, all I need you to do is change the location and add one more person to your guest listen' Shekhar explained.
Kabir shook his head, 'The gala is in one week. I can't change the location now' he wanted to help but Shekhar was asking for too much.
'Yes, you can. Use the manor ballroom. If it's not enough we can ask Shakti to give us the hotel banquet for a day' Shekhar offered.
'You want me to throw a gala at our property?' Kabir asked, making sure he was hearing him right. They never threw big parties at the estate property. It was too much of a security risk.
Shekhar nods and hands him a piece of paper, 'Yes, and I need you to invite him' he said.
Kabir reads the name on the paper, 'No, this man is a cheapskate. I have invited him before and it is impossible to get him to loosen his pocket. Not to mention he is an all-round asshole'
Shekhar rolled his eyes, 'Oh, I already came down here, don't make me beg' he whined.
Kabir looked at him for a moment then shook his head in defeat, 'I'm going to need something in return. I am not walking away from this empty-handed'. Shekhar nodded and Kabir continued, 'Make some calls, I need more doners'.
Shekhar nodded, 'I'm on it', as Shekhar walked away, he stopped at the door and looked back, 'And let's make our guest wear masks. Shall we?'.
...........
On the day of the gala, Tara and Leela sit in front of their respective mirrors, in their respective rooms. They both coif their dark hair and then secure it with a silver hair fork in a sleek bun, letting just one strand of hair fall on each side of their face. They both wear winged eyeliner, bright red lipstick, and radiant cut diamond studs that weighed at least 5 carats. They stand and admire their figure in the vanity mirrors, before adjusting their cleavage and putting on the designer outfits that were so generously provided to them by Kabir.
