In a darkened basement covered with plastic, Eye sat strapped to a chair in the middle of the room. His face was beaten to a bloody pulp. Tara stood in front of him, watching as his beaten body breathed heavily. She walked to a table nearby and picked up a syringe. Loading the syringe with a high dose of anticoagulant, she administered it into his veins. It would prolong blood loss and prevent clogging. His body would be drained of all its blood and he would bleed to death. After she administered the anticoagulant, Tara left Eye alone. It would take some time to work and Tara didn't want to be in the same room as Eye for that long unless he was dying. She came back after some time and gashed his ankles and wrist. She watched as Eye winced in pain. He would not be able to talk or move, since Tara administered the same neurotoxin that he had administered to her before he raped her. She pulled his head back by his long salt and pepper hair, 'Is your vision getting blurry?' she asked gritting her teeth in rage and fury, 'Are you feeling dizzy?', 'You feel your life slipping away bit by bit, don't you?', the image of Tej's beaten body flashed in front of her eyes, the look in his eyes before he died. Tara would never forget that look. She would never forget the feeling of helplessness she felt in the moment, when she laid across from him, injured herself she had been unable to help him. 'Even he would've felt the same, don't you think?'. Eye would feel dizzy from the blood loss, his vision would get blurry, and every inch of him will feel the oxygen deprivation. 'Do you feel your body getting drained of all its oxygen? My baby would've felt the same way, don't you think?' she asked, thinking of her baby girl. The daughter Eye had forced into the world before she was ready to even breathe on her own. Tara wanted Eye to feel every bit of pain and he had put her baby through. The pain he had put her through. The pain he had put Tej through. But Tara wasn't as inhumane as Eye. There was no reason to prolong his pain and suffering. So, Tara took the scalpel, and making the final cut on his neck, she gashed his carotid artery. Eye gave her a last smile and winked as he lost consciousness. Seven minutes max, that was it. It would be over. When Tara left the room, she was covered in blood. Her whole body was shaking and she looked smaller than ever. She looked like she was going to fall as she walked forward. Mycroft ran towards her and caught her in his arms. Tara spent hours crying under the running water of the shower, cleaning herself off of all the blood on her body. It wasn't guilt or shame. It was relief. The weight that had been weighing on her for over six years had been lifted. It felt like she was coming up to fresh air. It was finally over.

.......

Mycroft walked into his childhood bedroom in Musgrave and found Tara resting on the bed. Tara looked up to him, 'Hey' she smiled, 'Do you have what I asked for?' she asked as she sat up.

Mycroft nodded and handed her a file, 'I am here to talk to you in a professional capacity' he told her.

Tara looked up from the file, 'Oh... Mycroft, what is it?' she asked as she perused through the file's contents.

Mycroft looked at her and breathed, 'I know that you don't want to go back into active field duty or do any legwork. But what I also know is that you miss the action and the thrill that comes with that job' He was right. Though she liked baking it wasn't as fulfilling. 'So, The British Government would like to make you an offer. We'd like to bring you up as an advisor on matters of international importance on a part-time basis. There will be no conflict of interest. I assure you' he said and looked at Tara, who opened her mouth to say something, 'You don't have to answer right now. I know you have to think about it. If it's a no I understand. But I had to ask' he said.

Tara gave him a small smile and shook her head, 'Mycroft, I know you mean well and this is a very generous offer but I'm a little conflicted. I am very grateful to the British Government for this offer. But you have to understand, I am an ex-Indian army officer, I was a RAW agent. This doesn't feel like just a conflict of interest but more like treason. No offense though, I know you mean well but I can't do this' she said sincerely.
