The moment that you arrived to Bokuto's house. You felt a bit more awake from your nap, but nothing had you more excited than seeing Bokuto's mom standing there with open arms. She said your name so happily you couldn't resist basically running into them.
"Welcome home, sweetheart," Bokuto's mom whispered in your ear as she hugged you. She lightly rubbed your back as you sunk into her embrace and almost let out a sob. You hadn't seen her in so long, but she so quickly accepted you back into her home with open arms— literally.
"Thank you so much for having me again," you said as you squeezed her back.
You felt something brush past you and looked down the hallway to see Bokuto carrying about all of your luggage at the same time. "Be careful!" you said quickly, gently pushing yourself out of the comforting embrace to take care of your boyfriend.
Your other boyfriend— who usually kept him at bay from stupid decisions such as this— only stood at the end of the hallway laughing as he watched Bokuto carry everything on his own.
"Hey, could you slow down with all of that?" you said as you finally caught up with him as he broke into the main living area. "You're going to hurt yourself."
"Well, I got it done in one trip," he said as he dropped a few bags onto the dining table, "see?"
"It needs to go upstairs, dumbass," Kuroo said, finally putting in more effort than laughter as he lifted up the bags that Bokuto had just put down. "Here, I'll help bring them to their proper place."
"Thank you," you said as you watched them disappear back down the hallway to bring them up the stairs to the room you would be staying in for now. Bokuto's family had been kind enough to offer you this room so you could have adjustment time in Tokyo before starting at your new college and you couldn't be more grateful to them.
As their sounds of small bickers disappeared, Bokuto's mom appeared in their place as she looked back at them laughing. She turned to you afterwards and gave you another smile as she offered you some tea.
You happily accepted her offer as you could feel yourself growing more tired and any caffeine would be amazing at this point. As she walked to the kitchen to make the tea, she said, "You should sit down, dear. You look tired."
It was starting to become clear where Bokuto got his strange amount of intuition about how you were always feeling. You smiled and nodded before she started shuffling through cabinets in front of you.
As soon as you sat, though, something new took your focus. New footsteps were coming down the hallway— and they were coming fast. They sounded too light to possibly be Bokuto or Kuroo, so you looked in confusion as they got closer and closer.
Then a girl appeared in front of you. Her face was in a wide smile as she made eye contact with you and quickly walked forward with her hand extended towards you. "Hi, I'm so happy to finally meet you!" she said as she almost awkwardly stuck her hand out directly in front of you. "This is how Americans greet each other right?"
