what's going on?

Hello boys and girls here is the next chapter of my Yu-Gi-Oh GX story which I hope all of your are enjoying as much as I am writing this. Now as I said last chapter this this one with be a flashback chapter taking place during the Duelist kingdom arc in the original series. Now for my question of the day and that is when you guys saw the duel kingdom arc what did you think about it? Personally I remember loving it as a kid, especially the weird Feild effects but now grown up I find it very confusing but I still have a soft spot for it. Now with that all said and done let's get on with the story.

Y/n POV

I sat in my bed feeling quite sick, I had informed the chancellor that I was not feeling too well and he said that I was to take the day off, when I told dad he said to get some rest. I was getting quite worried since did this make dad upset in me because I am skipping class, will my friends think of me less now?

Starving venom fusion dragon:"you know, You are allowed to be a little bit selfish y/n and think about yourself from time to time."

I looked at my duel spirit and smiled.

Y/n:"but people won't like me if I start to think about myself, my friends might think I'm not a good person."

I then tried to get up from the bed but starving venom fusion dragon placed its tail onto my chest, though it was not physically touching me I did know he wanted me to stay in bed.

Y/n:"well, I hope Jaden dose well against whoever he is going up against in the duel against north academy."

Starving venom fusion dragon:"I'm sure he was fine, now go to sleep, time will fly fast."

I nodded and lay down on my bed and starting to close my eyes still upset that I won't get to see the duel, then I started to fall into the darkness of my sleep.

Flashback

I walked through the castle in dad's island where a tournament was going on which dad called Duelist Kingdome. The best of the best were in the castle with us and dad also beat the kaiba person dad said was a bad man so he sent him to the shadow realm where other bad people go. Right now there was a large dome of darkness around the duel Feild with a boy who could make himself taller. Behind me there were two of dad's private security guards were behind me like they usually are, I've always been followed by them ever since an intruder came in and tried to kidnap me. While I walked through the castle I looked at some of the artwork that was on the wall, some were made by famous artists while others were made by dad about all sorts of things like flowers, duel monsters, landscapes. There was one that he made every year, it was of me, mom, and him, though mother is no longer with us but all dad dose is paint us in the same position just aging us up each year on mother's birthday. When I reached my room I opened the door and entered it, my room was filled with drawing of monsters and cards that I wanted to make in the future but I don't know if I want to a professional Duelist or be come the head of dad's company when he retires. The guards waited outside as I was allowed to be on my own while in my room, I walked over to my desk and took one of my sketch books out from the pile, I opened it up to begin to draw the monster that kept coming in my dreams in one form or another. Sometime the monster will appear as part of nature like a cloud in the sky or carving on a mountain side, it also appears in its monster form whenever I have a nightmare.

Starving venom fusion dragon:"are you still drawing the monster y/n? I have honestly never seen a monster like that y/n and I'm sure it doesn't exist."

I looked at starving venom my monster spirit, dad said they appear when the bond between card and human is strong one will appear.

Y/n:"well it keeps appearing in my dreams in some way or another so I just want to draw what it looks like."
