the beginning of an adventure.

Okay everybody here is the first chapter of my new Yu-Gi-Oh story which will hopefully make the people who came from my 5Ds story happy. Now my question of the day is if you lived in this world what deck would you use in the GX era. For me I really can't remember what archetypes were there but I would say cyber dragons since they would be the only once I would think to use. Now let's get on with the story.

Y/n POV

Y/n:"don't worry dad I'll be fine I'm just walking to duel academy as we speak."

Pegasus:"I'm just wanting to make sure you are okay y/n my boy and don't get yourself lost."

I nodded at my dad but I saw the entrance of the duel academy entrance exam area.

Y/n:"well dad I can see it so I'm going to hang up now. Goodbye."

Pegasus:"goodbye y/n boy."

I then hung up my phone and put it back into my pocket and continued to walk towards the entrance which was just getting ready since I was a little early. As im walking up the large stair case I wonder if there will be someone who has the skill to beat me since I always win which was kind of gets boring after a while. Once I reached the top of the stairs there were some girls working at the rest with some big guy in a black suit as well as sun glasses.

Y/n:"is it okay if I do my exam now or do I need to wait a bit of time?"

Girl:"no it's okay and it's a good sign that you are early."

I nodded and walked over to the desk and picked up a pen then signed my name in. Once I had done that I walked into the building which was like a duel arena with many different areas walled off for each Duelists. Since I didn't know what to do I walked over to the seats that were around the duel arenas. When I sit down I noticed that there was some other people at the other side of the room and judging by the coats they were wearing they must be students who wanted to see the new students. I looked down at the inside of my black kimono (I think that's what it's called) Wondering which one of my decks I should use but I settled on my main deck since I like to go big or go home.

Speaker:"could y/n Pegasus please go to exam field one."

Y/n:"that was quick wasn't it starving venom."

I go up from my seat and turned around to go to the duel field as well as seeing starving venom fusion dragon.

Starving venom:"yes it was. Though it's not like the stadium is packed."

I turned back to walk down the stairs so that I could get this duel over with. After walking down to the arena which was marked duel field one and had a man in shades wearing a blue trench coat.

Y/n:"is this exam Feild one?"

Shades:"yes it is and I'll be you examiner."

I nodded since that meant that I was in the right area and began to walk over to the area while starving venom floated beside me. I then put my predaplant deck into my duel disk which was from the battle city days.

Y/n:"so this is just a normal duel?"

Shades:"yeah... Sure."

His tone was a little off putting but that didn't matter since those test decks won't be a problem for me to get around. Then our duel disks activated

Y/n, shades:"duel!"

Y/n 8000

Shades 8000

Then the both of us drew five cards out of our deck.
