Molly's Return

Introduction

A/N: FYI guys, this is an explanation of the characters, and this takes place after Maria Robotnik returns as a hedgehog. Ik I didn't write the story of Maria returning, but there is a thousand stories of that already, and I'm anxious, so... let's get started!

Captain Molly of Cascade the Hedgehog: Molly of Cascade (now Molly the Hedgehog) is the former captain of the Cascadian Resistance, and the only fighter who truly had hope, so she believed someone would continue her dream of saving Cascade.
When she met Shadow, she believed he was the legendary hero known as Black Wind, a mysterious armored man who saved lives and disappeared without a trace.
When she was betrayed by her fellow resistance, including her former love interest, Leon, who attempted kill her with a bomb, Molly was both physically and mentally heartbroken. In despair, she continued to fight the Metarex, despite Rouge and Shadow's warning to leave Cascade, and the last thing she can remember is Shadow's look of horror in his face and Rouge screaming her name when the laser of Pale Bayleaf destroyed her ship and her physical body with it.
15 years later, Molly woke up in the Nega dimension in the form of a mobian hedgehog with Léizerkinetic abilities, due to being blasted by a laser, and when she realized how her former allies were killed, she was sad and mad at the same time, sad for their slow and painful deaths, and mad for their betrayal, isolating herself from them and eventually escaping with her new aircraft, becoming a lone wolf and never trusting anyone she meets, but loves to explore the galaxies.

Leon of Cascade the Hedgehog: Leon is the former love interest of Molly and her most trusted ally. Like the other Cascadians, he gave up hope long ago, and decided to join the Metarex, but to do that, he'd have to kill Molly with a trap.
When Molly tried to reason with him and her crew, they just confessed that they'd had enough fighting, his words were the ones that cut her the most and caused her to become broken and was horrified when she was blasted into pieces. When he unintentionally gave the Metarex a fake chaos emerald of gravity and wish, he and the other crew members were attached to trees with roots attached to them inside out, and when Shadow and Rouge found him, he told that Molly was right all along before dying from the overdose of roots in his body.
15 years later, he woke up a few months after Molly did and like her, he was a hedgehog, but unlike her, he still had his roots in his body, and he could control them and use them in different ways (mainly put them in his hand and use them as a whip) however, he would have to remove some roots from his back in order to not let his organs get strangled. He constantly tried to apologize to Molly, but she always acted like he was a ghost, like all the other crew mates that had the same abilities, and eventually telling him it's too late for apologies in the most raspy way possible, showing that she never wants him to be a part of her life again. When she escaped, all Leon can ever do now is hope that she's okay and that she can have a happier life, while he and his crew mates become the Nega Metarex thanks to Eggman Nega.

Maria Robotnik the Hedgehog: Maria Robotnik was once the human cousin of Dr. Eggman himself and the granddaughter of Dr. Gerald Robotnik. At a young age she got a disease that was at the time incurable called Neuro-Immune Deficiency Syndrome (also known as NIDS) which prevented her from going to Earth.
Her grandfather, Gerald searched for a cure by starting project Ultimate Lifeform with different leaders of different planets to create multiple possibilities of a cure for her, and became friends with the subjects, including Shadow the Hedgehog.
Whoever, GUN raided the ARK to use the subjects of Project Ultimate Lifeform as weapons, and the group, wanting Maria to be safe, sacrificed themselves one by one until there was only four: Brave Kojima, the daughter of Marie Kojima made by the blood of the Gaia Phoenix, Nilia Black, the older shapeshifting daughter of Black Doom, Luna Silverheart, the younger daughter of Black Doom with the blood of the late Stella Silverheart who has the copycat ability and Shadow himself. Maria ended up sacrificing herself in the end, by getting herself shot in the back by mr. Schmitz (in which he regrets). With the last of her strength, she begged her friends to give the universe a chance to be happy and with her last breath she said: "Sayonara... Shadow... the Hedgehog..."
More than 50 years later, she woke up in the form of a hedgehog in the Nega Dimension with full knowledge of her original incarnation, and was finally able to go to Earth after creating a portal used by the yellow Sol Emerald. Now she's finally with her friends after so long, and always stay by their side no matter what.
