A few hours later, Team Dark were at Maria's house, preparing breakfast for the two. Shadow had been given a spare key to the blonde hedgehog's house and was told to bring anyone he wants. While the black hedgehog is grateful for Maria's trust, he sometimes finds it scary the amount of trust she has over him. But he knows that she means well, and he appreciates her kindness. As he continued reading the news, he heard Rouge call out for him and Omega:

"You boys want some pancakes?"
Omega turned to him and asked:
"Shadow, do I want pancakes?"
Shadow, being grumpy due to not having his morning coffee, sighed.
"Omega, you don't have a mouth."
The killer robot looked thoughtful for a few seconds before replying:

"Affirmative." He then turned to Rouge. "Rouge, I will have two pancakes."
"Heheh. Alright sweetie." She giggled, before continuing her work, while Omega turned to Shadow.
"How was that?"
"Ugh... I need a coffee."

"Grumpy without your morning coffee, eh Shadow?" Brave giggled.
"Says the one who literally becomes an emo in the night."
"That's not my fault and you know it."
"Hey Shadow, darling, could you wake up the girls? I've already finished their breakfast~." Rouge asked. Shadow sighed and got up.
"Fine. I'll wake them up. But my coffee better be ready when get back." He grumbled as he went upstairs to Maria's room.

He carefully opened the door, only to his surprise that the blonde hedgehog wasn't there. Confused, he went to Molly's room and carefully opened the door to see the two sleeping peacefully in each other's arms. Shadow couldn't help but smile at the sight of the two cuddling, realizing a very special bond between the two, and he couldn't be happier for them. With a soft chuckle, he carefully walked in the room and drew the curtains open, letting the morning sun rays light the room.

"Time to wake up, you two." He spoke in an unusually soft tone.
As the sunlight filled the room, Molly and Maria slowly stirred awake, blinking their eyes open. They looked at each other and shared a sleepy smile before realizing that Shadow was standing there, watching them with a gentle expression.

"Good morning, Shadow..." Maria yawned as she sleepily rubs her eye, while Molly groaned, snuggling on what she thought was a pillow.
"I see you two have gotten quite cozy." Shadow teased with a smirk, causing the two girls to blush. "Breakfast is ready downstairs, so whenever you're ready, come join us."

As Shadow left, Molly quickly sat up and fixed her quills.
"I-I'm sorry." She stammered. "I didn't mean to..."
Maria lifted her hand, interrupting her.
"Don't apologize. I saw you were comfortable and having a peaceful sleep, so I didn't want to disturb you. Plus, it's nice to have someone to snuggle with once in a while, isn't it?" She said with a playful wink.

Molly giggled and nodded, feeling grateful for Maria's understanding. She couldn't help but appreciate the warmth and affection they had shared in that moment. As they got ready to join the others for breakfast, Molly couldn't shake the feeling that this newfound friendship was something special, something that would bring joy and support into her life. With a smile on her face, she followed Maria downstairs, ready to face whatever the day had in store for them.

"Hello!" Brave waved excitedly to the two girls who went down stairs. "Did you sleep well?"
"It was the most comfortable I've slept in ages." Molly replied, stretching.

"Shadow told me that you two got comfortable in bed last night~." Rouge chimed in with a mischievous smile while she placed freshly made coffee cups on the table. Molly and Maria's faces went beet red in embarrassment due to the way the white bat said it while Darkness lightly hit her arm.
