Molly's Return

Chapter 4: The Plane and the Plan

After the "conversation" between Molly and Leon, the female hedgehog continued to head her way to Nega's office.
"Doctor?" She asked once she walked in.
"Ah. So that robot did have you my message after all. I guess "he" didn't call him the messenger robot for nothing."
"He said you wanted to talk about something. What is it?"

"A few weeks ago, my most important file went missing, and none of my robots were able to find it. I suspect that one of the Reborns have it. It's a top secret file, and no one must know about it."

Molly gave a look of surprise. Was he suspecting her? He then continued:
"As one of the top trainees, your objective will be to find out who has the file and retrieve it to me. But that's not the point. The reason I called you was to show you something." She made a curious hedgehog sound, while tilting her head slightly over. She then gasps in amazement to the view.

"I've wanted to give you a new plane. Since you were a pilot and I'd didn't want such an ability to be lost."
"I love it!" She answered with a smile on her face, running to the just finished plane, and viewed its outsides and insides.

"Vought F7U-Cutlass perfectly designed, 41 ft 3.5 in length, Wingspan 39 ft 8, with 2 J46-WE-8B Westinghouse Powerplant, wings area 496 sq ft, and enough for four people, 4 times the amount of a regular one! And it's armed with M3 cannons?!"
"I see you know your planes." Nega replied, all proud of himself. "And the less I forget, it's metal design is able to withstand over 1000 degrees of temperature, and completely bulletproof." She went inside the cockpit, and the seatbelts buckled up automatically, and she began pressing buttons.

"Molly, wait! You need to learn how to-" But she pulled the thrust lever and the engines began running and the plane began to hover. In seconds it began soaring around the large basement, performing amazing stunts and spins, to the doctor's amazement.

"Well I'd be..." she then pulled the thrust levers backwards and the plane came to a stop, landing in hover mode.
"You're piloting skills are very impressive. But I think you can get better."
"I see."

Eggman Nega's P.O.V:
These few months have been surprisingly smooth, just like how I planned. Everybody was doing their routines exactly how I wanted them, including Molly. She learned about flying every flight vehicle and read the manuals 24/7 like I've expected her to do, and is getting better and better, and she was surprisingly cooperative in training with her ex-comrades. I am very aware that she hates them as much as I hate that cat, but I'm sure that the Cascadians will make a way better Metarex than the ones from "his" dimension. But I still worry that she might be in reality, waiting for the moment to strike, like she did a long time ago. Because, that gingered hedgehog reminded me a lot of her, but tougher.

She started a bit lackey with trying to drive different vehicles, she wasn't too bad, but she'd many times ended up crashing, and in digital gun fight practices, she is good at 1 on 1 fights, but she's not good at gang fights. Of course, nobody gets it right the first time, what to expect? And she seems to very much doubt herself whenever she failed at training.

What I wasn't expecting was that by each day, she got better and better. By each injury and each fail, she got more the hang of it, and eventually she is able to drive just about any vehicle and plane ever known effortlessly.

And the more impressive thing is, she has mastered in using any weapon in the battlefield, from guns, to knives and swords, and even grenades! Many times however, it felt like she was trying to kill her comrades, so I always had some camera bots to make sure no blood was truly spilt.
As for the plane, she colored it in some black, blue and yellow colors, making it look very vibrant.
"What do you think of naming it?" I asked her. She began to think for a bit and then answered.
"Black Wing." A fitting name.

As much as this is going smoothly so far, she still didn't find those files. I'm starting to suspect she has it.

Normal P.O.V:
Molly was in her room, adjusting a gun with a manual in her hand, reading the instructions while sealing a small red nuclear reactor inside it by using her laser hand to seal the metallic lid shut. When she finished, the gun collapsed in pieces, causing her to sigh in disbelief, with her hand to her forehead in frustration.

"Now what did I do wrong?" She mumbled sadly. She began fiddling at the pieces around her desk. She then sighed in defeat. "Gunsmithing is not my thing. I'll ask Marlene to-"
She quickly shook her head. "No! He's a traitor, along with all of the others. You can't trust anyone." She then sighed in frustration, grumbling. "I'll just try again."

A/N: I'm sure people will get confused, so I'll show you who is who.

Roger and Nigel are twins.
And Jim is the one with the eyes closed.

Just now that I noticed Marlene is Leon with green hair and Jim is Nigel. But there different people, I can assure you that.

Then all of a sudden, the door opened, and she pulled out her spare gun out of her desk, but she got tased before she could even shoot, causing her to accidentally start shooting laser from her eyes as she yelped. She forcefully kept her eyes closed as she was continuously shaking on the floor, and she felt something grab her and put something on her face, and when she quickly opened her eyes, she was wearing those visors, and Dr. Eggman Nega was in front of her with the files in his hands.
"Molly. Explain this." The doctor said in a stern look.
