A few days later, Molly returned to GUN to continue her work as a pilot of the Blue Eagles, but there were a few changes to her routine, given by the Commanders of GUN.
"You will be required to undergo additional psychological evaluations and counseling sessions as part of your ongoing rehabilitation process. These sessions will be conducted by our in-house therapists and will focus on addressing any lingering trauma or stress from your past experiences."
"I don't need rehab, Sir."
Tower's expression remained firm as he replied:
"This isn't a suggestion, Agent. It's a requirement for your continued service with GUN. We need to ensure all our agents are in peak mental condition, especially those who have experienced significant trauma."
"I don't NEED, rehab, Sir!" She raised her voice a little bit, while keeping her tone respectful. The Commander's expression hardened slightly, but he maintained his composure.
"I understand your reluctance, Sakuhana, but this is non-negotiable. These sessions are designed to help you, not hinder you. They will ensure you're at your best while serving with GUN."
Given the permission, Topaz continued.
"It's not a stereotypical rehabilitation, per se. Think of it as a daily therapy session."
"I appreciate your concerns, Generals, but I don't need therapy, either."
"Geez, Maria was not kidding when she said she was stubborn..." Tower mumbled to himself, gripping his temples. He cleared his throat and addressed Molly again. "Agent, these sessions are mandatory for all GUN operatives who have experienced significant trauma. It's not a punishment, but a way to ensure your wellbeing and effectiveness in the field. Agents Shadow and Maria both take these sessions as well for his fear of losing the former and her fear of gunshots respectively. Even I attend these sessions regularly. It's a crucial part of maintaining our mental health and ensuring we can perform our duties effectively. Now, you will not be allowed to take any missions or operate any aircraft until you've completed at least three sessions with our therapist. This is for your own safety and the safety of your fellow agents. Do you understand?"
"...Yes, sir."
"Good. Commander Tanaka," He referred to Topaz. "Please escort Agent Sakuhana to Agent Thorndyke's office for her first session. I expect a full report on her progress by the end of the week. The rest of you, thank you for your time. Dismissed."
The Generals and other high-ranking officers filed out of the room, leaving Topaz and Molly alone. Topaz turned to Molly with a sympathetic look, understanding the young agent's reluctance.
"Come on, Molly. Let's head to Chris's office. I promise, it's not as bad as you might think," Topaz said gently, gesturing towards the door.
"Do I have to?"
Topaz sighed, her expression softening.
"If it makes you feel better, Shadow and Maria are scheduled for their sessions today as well. It's really not as intimidating as it might seem. Chris is great at what he does, and he's helped many agents work through their issues. Trust me, this will be good for you in the long run."
Molly hesitated for a moment, then nodded reluctantly.
"Alright, I'll give it a try. But I still don't think I need this."
Topaz smiled encouragingly.
"That's all we ask. Come on, let's head over there now."
As they head to their destination, the Blue Eagles walked beside them for their next mission. The captain, Katella, smirking on where Molly was heading. She couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction at the thought of Molly being required to attend therapy sessions. As they passed by, Katella called out with a hint of mockery in her voice:
"Enjoy your little chat, newbie. Maybe they'll finally fix that attitude of yours." The other Blue Eagles muttered to each other in concern, but Topaz shot them a stern look, silencing them immediately.
