Daniela: Why did you join wattpad?

Athena: Well, I was actually on Instagram @atheenawallz) and there was a link on someone’s bio. I was all “What the heck is Wattpad?” So I clicked it and it may have been one of the most amazing decisions I ever made. Wattpad has officially become my life.

Daniela: How long have you been here?

Athena: Since August 11, 2012 so I guess about six months. I’ve been writing since I was in 2nd grade though when I had to write a Halloween story for Language Arts. It was those pages with about five lines and a space for a picture above it. It was supposed to be at least five pages. Mine was thirty-two. I still have it and I read it all the time. Once I started I couldn’t stop. I didn’t start seriously writing books with chapters and stuff out of school until the summer before 6th grade. It was a fan-fiction I may post one day about Harry Potter’s daughter Lily who had the same curse. Only the babysitter died, not her parents (Harry and Ginny of course.) Here comes Bellatrix’s kid. Make way for the new Voldemort.

Daniela: What story are you most proud of?

Athena: ‘It’s All Gone…Good?’ is my biggest story and I’m glad with what I have. Everyone wants to be a big writer with lots of fans and reads. That certainly doesn’t exclude me, but I’m still happy with what I have. Everyone has to start off small right? Look at J. K. Rowling. She’s richer than the Queen of England but she started off writing on napkins.

Daniela: Haha yes I read about that! If you had to choose your favourite story on wattpad, what would it be? Athena: ‘My Muted Mate’ I am a hopeless romantic and a huge fan of werewolves. I have more story ideas and of course two of them are about werewolves.

Daniela: What would you rate wattpad out of 100? Why?

Athena: 90. It’s my life, but it glitches sometimes and that irritates me. But I just go to my phone or Kindle Fire HD (best Christmas gift ever!) and use the app. There are also lots of cool people to talk to and so much to read! Family and friends. Three words that mean the world to me. If I’m not on Wattpad or Word (I prefer to use Word when writing) I’m with my family or friends.

Daniela: What do you think could be added to wattpad to make it better?

Athena: Maybe if there was a way to bookmark where you are on a story. So if you’re reading more than one at a time you won’t lose your place. Something that would also be very beneficial would be if there was a little notepad on the side. You know how you can attach notes on your desktop or Kindle? Well if you could keep all your little thoughts, opinions, and comments on the side as reminders. Or something you feel might be critical to the story line. That would be really cool too.

Daniela: What’s your favourite story not on wattpad?

Athena: I have so many. Probably either the Hunger Games (My favorite in the series is Catching Fire) or Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus. What can I say? I love Greek Mythology. It’s so intriguing. Plus, Rick Riordan named a book after me! ‘The Mark of Athena’ ;{D Go Percy and Annabeth! Hell ya! The ending though? Oh my God I cried! I can’t believe the next book—The House of Hades—won’t be out until the end of the year! *cry cry* So sad.

Daniela: Who is your favourite author on all of wattpad?

Athena: @BrittanyLeigh8 is amazing! She’s so cool! I love many authors (such as@katnisslerman16 and@smurfyphantom06 ) but@BrittanyLeigh8 and I have had some pretty wacky convos on PM.

Daniela: Who is your most faithful fan?

Athena: I love all my fans (even if I don’t have many haha but the ones I have are all great) but one’s who leave lots of comments and encouragement would be@StARLa87 , @ eternalsoul , and@Brooklynhill87 .

Daniela: Out of your books, who is your favourite character?

Athena: Hmm, I really enjoy writing IAGG from Jordan’s POV so I guess Jordan. I don’t know, I guess it’s just really easy to write from his perspective. He is a good guy and the qualities I’ve put in him I find admirable. I also really like a new character I’m writing a story about named Isabella. :{D

Daniela: What is your most embarrassing moment, that you’re willing to share?

Athena: I’m a klutz so I’ve had many. A recent one though would be when we were told to pick up trash as punishment. Well I bent over to pick up a Styrofoam cup and as I’m standing up this creepy kid named Gustavo (in my story ‘Rants’ chapter— Boys and Girls --> just friends—he’s boy #1) was right there. I turn my head to the side and my face is inches from the kid. Dear God it scared me! So I scream and jump. I land right where my best guy friend (boy #6) is standing. In shock he pushes me away (not in a mean way, just reflexes haha) and I wind up slipping because as usual I’m oh-so-graceful and fall to the ground on my butt.

Daniela: Haha lol I always love asking that question. It gets funnier each and every time! What’s your best way to get rid of writers block?

Athena: Music is my escape. When I have writer’s block I turn on that particular story’s playlist (yes, I made one for each story) and dance around like an idiot, play with my dogs, sing into a hairbrush, etc. That or I lay in bed at night thinking until I come up with something. Good or not I write it down in my phone ‘notes’ and play around with it later.

Daniela: Are you a reader or a writer? Why? Athena: Hmm, well I love to write, but I also love to read. Both I guess. When I read though I’m no silent reader. No I comment and vote a lot. I’ve actually been told by several people that I’m (one of) their favorite fan(s). Daniela: Where do you find your ideas?

Athena: Anywhere. At school, in the car, listening to music, playing with my dogs, from a dream. I actually got an idea for ‘When Two Worlds Collide’ at the lunch table. It was the incident between Luke and Rachel that gets them to acknowledge each other. I told my friends this: “Okay. Guys I have an idea.” A few of them are on Wattpad actually.@_r_a_w_r and@Taetae_77 “Don’t let me forget these three things: Bike, football, hit by a car.” Hint, hint. ;{D

Daniela: How often do you upload your stories?

Athena: I try to upload IAGG once a week, Rants is on no schedule whatsoever, and W2WC usually gets updated every few weeks or so. IAGG comes to me easiest so it’s much easier to write and upload.

Daniela: Are there any stories you are working on at the moment, that are not published? If so, would you mind telling us something about them/it?

Athena: I’m working on two actually. Both werewolf. One is called ‘Dude’s a Girl’ basically it’s about an abused she-wolf who runs away, finds a new pack after a few years, poses as a dude so her old pack can’t track her—the ultimate hidden identity—and meets her mate. Let’s just say her mate ends up very confused—and straight. The other one I keep changing the title so it’s not set in stone yet. This one though is a rejection story. I know I know cliché huh? I’m hoping the twists I throw in there will set it apart. :{D

Daniela: Is there anything you would like to say in addition?
