Okay, so today we have... DARE2DREAM4EVA!!!
Daniela: Why did you join Wattpad?
Lauren: I joined Wattpad because I really wanted to be able to share my writing with people. Some friends I have on another website told me about it, and I thought it would be worth a try, and now I love it!
Daniela: How long have you been here?
Lauren: I've been here since the middle of November, so about two months.
Daniela: What story are you most proud of?
Lauren: Well, I think it would be The Dreamwisher, because I wrote it for NaNoWriMo last year, and I was really happy to say I reached my goal. I worked on it a lot, and I'm still editing parts of it to post, but I'm really proud that I was able to write a whole book like that.
Daniela: If you had to choose your favorite story on Wattpad, what would it be?
Lauren: It would either be The Disney Project by grrappleberry, or Once Upon a Dare by Defend. I really enjoy their plots.
Daniela: What would you rate Wattpad out of 100? Why?
Lauren: I would give it about a 90. There are still a few things I wish they could change. For example, there's always those times when the site is down, and it's often at times where I have the opportunity to get on. Maybe doing the updates when people aren't on as often would be better.
Daniela: What do you think could be added to Wattpad to make it better?
Lauren: Well, there's a feature on Fanfiction that lets you follow a specific story, as well as the author. It sends you updates on when it's been updated, so you don't get things that don't relate to the specific story. I once followed a person who had a whole lot of stories, but I fanned them because of one. I got updates on all these things that didn't really affect me, and it almost made me miss that she posted a new chapter for the story I liked. It was a bit annoying.
Daniela: Oh I almost signed up for fanfiction, but I found wattpas first. What's your favorite story not on Wattpad?
Lauren: I really love the Harry Potter series. I've been reading those since I was a little kid. I also love Percy Jackson, and the Kingdom Keepers.
Daniela: Percy Jackson! The movie isn't half as good as the book... And yeah, Harry Potter books are the best! Who is your favorite author on all of Wattpad?
Lauren: I really like chattbug021500. She writes these 1D imagines and preferences, and I just love them. She has these author's notes at the end of her preferences, and they just crack me up, because they're supposed to be pieces of her life story, and they're really random and funny.
Daniela: Who is your most faithful fan?
Lauren: My most faithful fan would probably be ameliaearsaber, because she always tells me what she thinks of a new chapter I posted, even if it's not a comment on this site. She's also been my fan since she joined, which makes me feel really good about that.
Daniela: Out of your books, who is your favorite character?
Lauren: My favorite character from my books would probably be Ana from Six Girls, Five Guys, One Summer, because she thinks and acts like me, (but she technically is me, though, so this sounds a bit conceited, I know). But she's got my ways of figuring out problems and things like that. But a close second would be Mia tron The Dreamwisher.
Daniela: What is your most embarrassing moment, that you're willing to share?
Lauren: Well, one time, I went to see The Avengers with my dad, since we're both really big superhero fans. And there were a lot of funny moments in that movie, at least, to me and the people who were watching with us in the theater. I laughed when everyone else would, of course. But when I go to school on Monday, a kid in my homeroom class said he was there, in the same theater, and he said that my laugh was very loud and he could hear it from his seat. Of course, he says it in front of the popular girl in the class, so it was really embarrassing.
Daniela: What's your best way to get rid of writer's block?
Lauren: I just keep writing. I put the story that I'm having trouble with down and write down parts of a different story. I find that it gives you new ideas when you write something new.
Daniela: Are you a reader or a writer? Why?
Lauren: I am more of a writer, because I am always writing. I carry around three notebooks at school other than what's required for class. I read often enough at school and outside of class as well, but I am always writing no matter when.
Daniela: Where do you find your ideas?
Lauren: Well, the idea for my stories usually come straight out of the blue. They just randomly pop into my head. The idea for The Dreamwisher came that way. But 6G5G1S was different. The general idea came from an idea that mu friends and I actually wanted to do. We were actually going to do the thing that started the whole story, but we haven't yet. My friends also supply some ideas for plot points of some stories.
Daniela: How often do you upload your stories?
Lauren: I try to update once a week for sure on both, although I'm over a week overdue for The Dreamwisher.
Daniela: Are there any stories you are working on at the moment, that are not published? If so, would you mind telling us something about them/it?
Lauren: Well, I've had the idea of doing a book about a boarding school for a while now. It would kind of be revolving around this group of girls, and one girl who wants to sabotage them, so she starts rumors about the leader of the group. I have a different one that I haven't really developed the story for yet.
Daniela: Is there anything you would like to say in addition?
Lauren: Thanks so much for interviewing me! I really do appreciate this. And to the readers, I hope you all enjoy my stories, if you choose to check them out, as much as I love writing them. Thanks so much!
Daniela: No problem!
